If nobody understood me, the situation is: after full receiver shutdown, a light goes on on  the receiver panel, but pressing STB-Power on the remote does not  do anything, reseiver turns on only after pressing Power on the receiver itself....

Powerup from deepstandby is handled by the frontprocessor and possibly something included in the drivers. Then the driver upgrade likely breaks it.

Can you explain to me how to load a driver on an unpowered and not running system?

I don't see how this driver update will solve this issue, I rather think you need a frontpanel update instead.

Sorry, you can delete my previous post.

The solution is very simple ...
install
enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-remotecontrolcode

or telnet:

echo "2" > /proc/stb/fp/remote_code

It's very strange, obvious bug in the drivers :) .

Nobody knows the answer.
I will ask the question differently.

Besides ETх00 models, this feature works anywhere?

At VU+ is just not working.
I connected usb keyboard, change the settings in the '
Input Device'.
No reaction.

This problem has been posted twice now in this thread and twice it has been ignored :(

I got myself a Duo2 today so please can we have the missing emm28xx modules and depends on the feed.

Ok, I think what is causing the enigma2  to get stuck in start up. I have a Hauppage Win-TV Duet USB stick, which uses dib0700 and em28xx drivers. The dib0700 install ok, but the em28xx gives the following error:

Installing enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-em28xx (1.0-r0) to root...
Downloading http://downloads.pli...0_mips32el.ipk.
Collected errors:
 * satisfy_dependencies_for: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-em28xx:
 *     kernel-module-em28xx-dvb *
 * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-em28xx.

If the dib0700 driver is installed but the em28xx is missing then enigma2 gets stuck in the startup. Seems that the kernel module has disappeared from the feeds also previously, but it was available for a while last month.

Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks!

enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb is common for every receiver in OpenPLi 4, but kernels are not the same for every box, so you have missing kernel modules.

That is the cause i think.

The problem after all seems the kernel config.
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_ALSA=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_DVB=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_RC=y
We are missing CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX from kernel.

What is the proper way to change defconfig on kernel and provide patch?

Hello,

The following modules are enabled on other boxes:
#
# Miscelaneous helper chips (vuuno/vuduo/vuultimo/vusolo)
#
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_ALSA=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_DVB=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_RC=y

#
# Miscelaneous helper chips (dm7020hd/dm800se/..)
#
..
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_ALSA=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_DVB=m
# CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_RC is not set
...

#
# Webcam, TV (analog/digital) USB devices (et9x00/et4x00..)
#
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_ALSA=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_DVB=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_EM28XX_RC=m
But there is no EM28XX under vuduo2 or vusolo2.

I need to do make oldconfig and enable EM28XX?
