ask sundtek

would be nice to know what the problem is before asking them. Don't feel like "upgrading" to OpenPLi 4 if I known my Sundtek won't work.

And as OpenPLi say 4 is (currently) basicly 3 with a better/faster build environment I wonder why the plugin would have stopped working.

OpenPLi 4 contains new C and C++ libraries, new compiler, new busybox, new libraries for virtually everything.

As an end user, you won't notice a difference for binaries built on the same platform. Binary plugins from third parties will have been compiled against different versions of everything, and as a result, they may not work, unless the one who built the binary has been very careful to prevent that from happening.

Binary plugins are bad. This is not Windows. Those binaries will cease to be able to function after a while (just like you cannot run 16-bit windows applications on yout 64-bit windows any longer) so sooner or later, you will be left alone in the dark if you accept that.

I just tested my SundTek / DM800Se on my home build PLi4 image.

It works fine, no problem at all. I use the latest Sundtek drivers (http://www.sundtek.d...current_all.ipk).

I just installed OpenPLi 4 on my ET9000. Everything works, only my share to my DM8000 doesn't work. There is a network connection (I can reach the 9000 with my computer) and also remotestreamconvert works (my 9000 displays channels through the 8000 tuners). If I flash back to 3 the shares do work again. Anybody any idea what the problem could be?

I know 4.0 is still beta, so I'll go back to 3.0. But to help development is this problem known, or just in my case?

When I want to update online, it says there are 6 updates. However, when I choose to update, it does not update and

says 0 files were updated. I get this error for about 3 days.

In background this happens:

root@xp1000:~# opkg update

Deprecated version constraint '>' was used with the same meaning as '>='. Use '>>' for LATER constraint.

Deprecated version constraint '>' was used with the same meaning as '>='. Use '>>' for LATER constraint.

Deprecated version constraint '>' was used with the same meaning as '>='. Use '>>' for LATER constraint.

6 lines of "Deprecated" makes the update output parser think there are 6 updates found :)

So if online updates tells you 6 updates are waiting: just exit and dont update at all.

I 'fixed' the packages causing these warnings. The 3rd party feed should be updated now. So please try again...

Geen wonder... Had slechts een dm7000, maar wel ook een rotor. eigenlijk al een tijdje ook een dm600 en dm7025. Maar nu kijkend met een et9000 en vuduo

Little question about the feeds (for the solo2)

I see there are 2 3rd party feeds, one openpli-3rd-party and one openpli-3rd-party-vusolo2

In the openpli-3rd-party-vusolo2 there are only 2 packages, the

enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-zappingmodeselection (which is btw. obsolete since the driver update 20130506) and

enigma2-plugin-extensions-backupsuite.

Why is chosen for this classification? I think the package enigma2-plugin-extensions-backupsuite could be placed in the "normal" 3rd-party feed and the package enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-zappingmodeselection could be removed in my opinion.

It makes it possible to put box/platform specific plugins in the 3rd party feed... so e.g. DMM boxes do not see those.. :D...

Thanks for reporting... I'll remove the zapping mode plugin... So after the next builds it will not be anymore available.

Please note regards the 3rd party feeds we depend on you!!! It is unduable to test all those... ;)

I'm very honoured to have my own feed only for the BackupSuite  :D

But there is another 3rd party package only for the ET's, VU's and XP and this in the "normal" 3rd party feed, the package is enigma2-plugin-extensions-automatic-fullbackup (current is 2.8 here on the board by Dima73, on the feed is version 2.2)

This package is also tested en working fine with integrated the tool of Betacentauri OFG (flashing on the fly).

Further I "miss" in the 3rd party feeds the packages: enigma2-plugin-extensions-glasssysutil_5.37_all.ipk and enigma2-plugin-extensions-secondinfobar_2.7_mipsel.ipk.

I now secondinfobar is integrated in Openpli but it isn't working for me, after 2 x OK I would like to see the channel EPG not the Current & Next program. This should be configurable with a long press on guide but the made choice isn't saved so every time the current and next epg is shown with 2 x OK

Maybe these packages can be added to the 3rd part feed?

What do you want to see at
2 x OK?

I want to see all programs for the next hours/days (Show EPG for current channel) when I push OK twice such like this

13zdgl2.jpg

I know I can store this behaviour under the GUIDE/EPG button and that works fine, but I like it under the OK button when I push it twice. I can find the OK button blindfolded but not the GUIDE/EPG button on my remote (not much use however when you are blindfolded ;) )

I know it is a bit odd but for me (and my wife) this is the most convenient to check te programs on 1 particular channel

Thanks, that did the trick, I never looked further beyond the seconds :(

It worked after I also saved the default EPG style.

Now I removed the package secondinfobar and all is working as I like it!
