I have Plug and Play Tuner on gb quad plus work here directly? Demodulator: STV0913
Serit NIM Sp2246
Tuner: STV6111

Most probably the tuner is capable of Multistream!

But I guess the drivers are provided from Gigablue and it doesn't use the kernel driver.

If the driver has the capability of FE_CAN_MULTISTREAM then most probably you are ready to rock. You can use command dvb-fe-tool -f X to check frontend capabilities.

If the driver doesn't have the capability of FE_CAN_MULTISTREAM then you need to ask GigaBlue to enable FE_CAN_MULTISTREAM.

Most probably the TS Sync control patch was missing. Without this one also many Multistream channels do not work.

Here all the multistream channels on 45E works fine with ~= 9.5 dB (your tuner on video shows 15 dB so it's not signal problem).

<sat name="45.0E Intelsat 12" flags="1" position="450">
...
   <transponder frequency="11585000" symbol_rate="21411000" polarization="1" fec_inner="0" system="1" modulation="2" pls_mode="0" pls_code="218997" is_id="2"/>
   <transponder frequency="11585000" symbol_rate="21411000" polarization="1" fec_inner="0" system="1" modulation="2" pls_mode="0" pls_code="218997" is_id="3"/>
   <transponder frequency="11585000" symbol_rate="21411000" polarization="1" fec_inner="0" system="1" modulation="2" pls_mode="0" pls_code="218997" is_id="4"/>
...
</sat>
So with proper support/drivers from Gigable that tuner will be the DXer dream! ;)

Frankly I'm surprised that worked, these channels require a PLS code, so that means the E2 should be patched for that, what image was that you were using?

at the beginning the package was only Multistream!

No that was before about 1 year., after that BNT has switched to PLS!

Guys, could you please name boxes which have been tested with TBS 5925 and proved to do ACM, VCM, MIS as well as 16APSK and 32APSK.

Thank you.

Location = United States
Receiver(s) = Vu+ Duo2, Vu+ Zero
ACM = Yes
VCM = Unknown (unable to test)
MIS = Unknown (unable to test)
16APSK = Yes
32APSK = Yes

Note:
Cannot find a 32APSK tv channel to test. I would probably need a dish over 5 meters in diameter to get a 32APSK tv channel. 32APSK is confirmed using other sources such as data transponders.

MIS/PLS patch included.

All vu boxes, et10000/et8000, osmini have the driver for TBS.

Lamedb will be version 5, dreamboxedit, channelizer etc should adapt.

Here are the Enigma2 changes:
https://github.com/O...oik:multistream

Please fill free to fix issues MIS/PLS related.

Hm, why did you change the eDVB services version number? :)

The "changed" settings format seems to be still fully compatible with version 4 so you should better just have kept the old version 4, the new information can also be stored in v4 format.

And can you please provide me some v5 settings?

Hi,

That was in the early stage of development.  The version remain the same (4) but three new extra fields added.

-                sscanf(line+2, "%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d",
+                sscanf(line+2, "%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d:%d",
                     &frequency, &symbol_rate, &polarisation, &fec, &orbital_position,
-                    &inversion, &flags, &system, &modulation, &rolloff, &pilot);
+                    &inversion, &flags, &system, &modulation, &rolloff, &pilot,
+                    &is_id, &pls_code, &pls_mode);
+

The Input Stream ID the PLS Code and the PLS mode.

Please also consider adding ATSC parsing support. (see https://github.com/O......athoik:atsc)

+        else if (!ch.m_frontendParameters->getATSC(atsc))
+        {
+            fprintf(f, "\ta %d:%d:%d:%d:%d\n",
+                atsc.frequency, atsc.inversion, atsc.modulation, flags, atsc.system);
+        }

Let me know if you need additional information.

Ah ok great then dreamboxEDIT always was fully compatible with your MIS/PLS extensions, as dreamboxEDIT doesn't drop any extra parameters added to the transponders. :)

I may be improve the missing new modulations and also maybe adding editing functions for the 3 new fields. As said would be great if someone could provide me some real settings just for testing my parsers. ;)

Also would be great, and saves me a lot of time, if someone could provide me the lamedb values for each valid modulation (the new ones) and the valid FEC values for each of it.

ATSC yes maybe, but thats low priority for me.

Add Edision OS Mini to my post# 207. This is a  New receiver for me, and the test results for TBS5925 are the same as my other Vu+ receivers.

I can provide any settings you need for European satellites. Please note though that up to the latest version of DreamboxEdit, the settings are all successfully downloaded to PC, provided that the satellites.xml file does not contain the new parameters for the MIS reception. When the new (modified) satellites.xml format is present in the receiver (and mandatory for automatic search on MIS compatible tuners, otherwise everything else must be tuned manually) the program does download all the files but does not parse them and warns for incompatibility.

However if the regular non MIS satellites.xml format is present, all channels are downloaded fine including the MIS channels found with manual search and even can be restored to the receiver and still play fine.

Tell me what you need and I'll be happy to help.

Just provide me one complete set of your settings, including the satellites.xml. I'll then adapt the satellites.xml parser/editor for the new parameters.

Then it will be included it into the next upcoming major release which is coming soon. :)

Just send it to my email address you can find in dreamboxEDIT. ;)

@MCelliotG

Your settings are not based on the latest OpenPLi sources, please upgrade your Image first.

Your settings use eDVB services /5/ which is not valid, latest Images use Version 4 format.

athoik said only an early development state of his changes used v5, but this was reverted and changed back to v4

OMG, sorry, I accidentally sent you the old settings format, as I use an older image in multiboot that supports TBS better. I have sent you a new mail with two variations, one with MIS satellites.xml and one with non-MIS. They should work I hope!

Ok thank you. Looking good. So I only have to change the parser so we can use the parameters in service details and also in the satellites.xml editor. :)

I'll do the necessary changes so you can expect an update with full MIS/PLS support soon. ;)

Maybe someone would like to do some beta testing? :)

FYI

I've today added full hidden marker integration, so dreamboxEDIT now can not just read the hidden markers (which it does since a while) now you can also insert new ones.

Thank you, I'm glad I was of help. Hoping to see the new version soon! This will also come handy for Spark 7111 receivers with Taapat image that supports MIS for the moment with their internal tuner.

@athoik

Can you please change you code a little bit, why are you writing the 3 parameters to lamedb if IS_ID is -1 which means disabled? Currently all DVB-S2 transpondern get these parameters attached.

Please change the code so these 3 parameters are only written to lamedb if enabled. It makes no sense to write these values to the lamedb if a transponder doesn't use MIS. :)
