I have mixed bouquet loaded and only Rytec Germany Epg. When trying to map some channels some would map automaticaly (pic 16) (seems thats when they have a light Yellow colour) and others refused (pic 17) even though the channel was clearly visible in the previous view. Pressing button "1" didn't bring anything up but buttons "2" & "3" got the best results. (pic 18).

So I ask is there any real need for the 3 buttons when 1 could suffice, leaving them free for future use.
cheers Col
Yeah let me explain. This info will be shown on the help screen.
Yellow entries are auto-mapped by channel ref.
Green entries are manual mappings loaded from previous session.
Button 1 will match channel name with all epg names with 50%/10% similarity and first letter equal. It will show top 10 matches.
Button 2 will match with 50%/10% similarity and first letter equal but top 30 entries.
Button 3 will match with 50%/10% similarity without first letter filter and top 50 entries.
The general idea is to always go with 1 because it will most likely show best result. If that fails then proceed matching with 2 and 3. Idea behind this UI is to make eye-matching for the channel as fast as possible, for a person doing the comparation.
Yellow and green entry will never disappear from the list. Reason for this is obvious, after doing the 1,2,3 search the yellow or green entry might not be on the list at all ( top entries ) and we should not lose them if we want to revert the change.
>f you lucky it should look like this (pic 10) which is my UK News bouquet and mapped straight away. Only problem was it >wouldn't let me change the mapping ?
From your previous post. If you wan't to un-map the auto-map you do that on the right side list. Left side list mark is only cosmetic. So when you press ok on the left side list it will switch you to the right side. Then pressing ok again will mapp/unmap the channel. This allows not only channel mapping but channel unmapping ( you wan't some channels not to fill epg even if they are in the selected bouquet). Those channels will get red cross icon.
For example, XML import data is quite accurate but not accurate enough for Spanish channels ( c+ deporte for example). You unmap that channel and do the CrossEPG mhw import for that specific channel while you keep all other channels filled from epgimport XML procedure.
EPGImport should have mhw source as import procedure just as CrossEPG plugin. Then the crossepg would be obsolete, maybe something to work on in the future..
