If the negative attitude remains, it might get very tempting.

thinking of getting rid of it and get a second solo2. Nothing negative about it.

When Openly has been working for 9 years and 11 month .. Off course  users can be negativ, when nothing works and you are talking about how modern openly is and inte does not work at all .. how can I be positive ?

Oops, it seems that:

opgk install kernel-module-ext4

should be

opkg install kernel-module-ext4

;)

I have tried that to .. but i doesn't  work
I'm not so very good at Linux, so I need a working IMG like openli was before

Other users mention to flash an image of the 19th then it should work again

So it is better to flash 19/12 and then stay there and not to do any updates?

And then hope that Openli will turn back to be an working IMG?

I think Openli try to be something no one want it to be

Is there money involved in this BSP story ?

@Maverick how much did you pay Openpli to claim  a good working image?

dear maverick,

I see that you're frustrated.
you are now at the point that you have to wait for a fix of vu.
in the future;
remember that pli images are always beta.
so if you update
that means that there may be problems and always be at your own risk.
we hard core members never do an update without a backup on hand.

so in future, if you have a working image, make a backup with the backup suite from Pedro_Newbie.

in case of problems you can always flash a working image.

I've tried it, but same result as all 12-2x images thus far for the Solo2 I have at home. (Don't know how to check if the ubifs partition / is correct)

Will take a look at the back-up suite. Issue I have now is  that the image works, but the flash doesn't. Somehow the images prior to 19-12 result in a hang of enigma. (no response on remote/screen), but they worked before the flash of 12-24 image and all other images of 12-19 and later. At least I can watch TV, but would prefer to have 1 flash finish correctly. (but won't tinker to much, as it now works kinda)

P.S. It would be nice to have a bit more time to update posts, saves replying to ones own messages...

Yes Im frustrated after 10 years with working Openli and I have been asking for a link (can not find any) to old IMG from out/nov 2014
But I have not get any links or answer. Just answers that Im stupid or not using my brain etc, from Erik Slagter. ( Nice Guy )
Tried his missspelled telnet command and then I gave up.

So please
Let me have links to old IMG for VU+ then I can wait for your updates one year if i need to. I do not have use for any updates
I updated because there was a update. And when I did I hade no return. NO Warnings in forum that day

I haven't been following the discussion, so maybe I ask something that has already been said. For which box specifically, and from which date?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.
