Still can't get it to work. The screen flashes a few times to black and back and then it gives up. Maybe the DVB-C tuner in the second slot is the problem.

But I guess if it works for others, it's OK.

An E2-log doesn't show that?

Same problem here. It flashes very fast four times, probably for the polarities, and for the high/low bands. on Ku. Did not try C band.

Wish I had a Duo2 to test. No one has complained about this in OE-A version.

Have you got a debug log.

My DUO2 runs on ViX; as it is my mainbox I'm not going to load another image on it. Blindscan on ViX does work.

I might try to produce some logging, when I have a bit more time.

I do not have a debug log that I know of. Have never used that feature.

Saw the new listing for blindscan in the downloadable plugins. So I thought I would try it. The one shown in the attached screenshot is the problem blindscan. Other blindscan plugins for the Duo2 work.

Like SatKiekerd says, works fine in OE-A so must be something wrong with PLi's implementation.

If you want to get this going you need to switch on debug logs and post them.

Will load PLi on Solo2 later and give it a try.

PLi has no debug log functionality. But in telnet you can do:

init 4
enigma2

Then run the plugin and post the output. Stop e2 via

ctr + c

and restart E2 via

init3

Thanks!

Should be able to get the same stuff out of the RS232 port, but I will try the steps you posted instead.

Attached are two logs. One was done on a fresh install of OpenPLi, and the other was done on a fresh install of OpenVix.

/bin/sh: /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/Blindscan/bin/vuplus_6222_blindscan: not found

well, looks that exactly like on my et9500 - it doesn't work simply because lack of the manufacturer's closed blindscan binary...

former (3rd-party) blindscan plugin included all the et/vu binaries,
for this new plugin, they should be provided by respective bindcan-utils packages

regarding the et9x00 - after last year's long-lasting struggle with making et-dvbs-blindscan-utils.bb work in xtrend bsp layer,
they ended up with a sort of odd solution, that resulted that there's no et-dvbs-blindscan-utils package (which should provide virtual/blindscan-dvbs) at all,
and the avl_xtrend_blindscan binary is shipped inside the 3-rd party blindscan plugin

as to vuplus-blindscan-utils - I can't see this package in the feed, so it's probably does not build for whatever reason /?/,
but it looks that vu bsp recipe lacks provides(rprovides) virtual/blindscan-dvbs anyway;

and OE-A doesn't use xtrend's nor vuplus' bsp layers, and have own .bb's, hence no such problems there

Something wrong in PLi's implementation. Xtrend should not be looking for Vu+ twin tuner binary.

Tested this morning OE-A version on Duo2 (3 DVB-S), Ultimo (4 DVB-S) and Solo2. Works fine on all.

well, this excerpt quoted above was from @el bandido's vu+ log,

here it looks for avl_xtrend_blindscan of course ;)

My version(1.4) works very simply.
No dependencies.
All utilities are built into the plugin.

If blindscan binaries are missing, then dependencies are missing. We have virtual dependencies which are set in the respective BSP layer, so it's sufficient to include a dependency on virtual/blindscan-dvbs

And if the binary is missing, I'd expect some error message, not the screen flickering three times and then give a meaningless message.

Sorry, I never considered someone would try running the plugin without loading the binary so no error message was ever coded.

Blindscan 1.4 is what I have been using, and it works great except for the FEC ratios not being correct. I would guess this is a Vu+ problem.

The problem plugin for me is  blindscan  (git3963+7982152-r0.1)

Plugin  blindscan  (1.4) Works very well.

The CONTROL file says
Package: enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-blindscan
Version: 1.1-r0
Description: blindscan
Maintainer: Huevos (OE-A)
Depends: enigma2, virtual/blindscan-dvbs
That is correct afaik.

Ah, I see the problem, there is also a package with the same name in the 3rd party plugins. Bugger.  Removed that one.

Also the control file doesn't seem to be correct in the package:

Package: enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-blindscan
Version: experimental-git3963+7982152-r0.2
Depends: enigma2-plugins
Section: base
Architecture: vuduo2
Maintainer: OpenPLi team <info@openpli.org>
MD5Sum: 816dac62951a0986a3a374d9273110cb
Size: 37116
Filename: enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-blindscan_experimental-git3963+7982152-r0.2_vuduo2.ipk
Source: git:///dreambox/repo-mirrors/plugins-enigma2.git;protocol=file
Description:  systemplugins-blindscan  systemplugins-blindscan
OE: enigma2-plugins
License: Proprietary
Priority: optional

I will have to dig this out.

In the meantime, users can "fix" the issue by manually installing the virtual package virtual/blindscan-dvbs.
