Hi, Seniors.
I am using the latest helenite image download from your website on DM500S.
Here is the download website--> http://www.pli-image...&download_id=23

Now, after testing, I find it has an old version of CCcam2.0.0 embedded in this image.
I have downloaded and installed CCcam2.0.3 and CCcam-cfg-2.0.3 and it works!

Here is what I found:
/bin/CCcam --> which is embedded old version 2.0.0
/var/bin/CCcam --> latest version 2.0.3

When I try to "rm /bin/CCcam" , I got "unable to remove: read-only file system".
I guess this is a flash copy of CCcam2.0.0 which remains in image.

My question is : How could I possibly delete this unused file to regain more space?

Hopefully, next release pli-image will address this issue.

A Really Good DM500 image!
I really love it!

You can't remove it from the image, it's written to the read-only part of the file system. On a 500/7000 you can only write (edit/add/remove) to /tmp, /var, & any network filesystems mounted read/write. I doubt the next image would contain the outdated CCam. It would probably be replaced with whatever is current when released...

hemi is correct

also, as the embedded softcam is in the read only part it doesnt eat memory in the read/write part as you suggest

As a newbie, I really want to know more.
May I please to know where to find an architecture level document?
