I know. But i've been waiting for the Openpli image. And switched last night. Seems to be running stable, but this gives me issues. So thought i would give some feedback. Even this first release is better than VTI ever was. :-)

VTI is a small mod of orriginal VU image....
Our image is still in big progress Beta mode.....

I'm having troubles Tuning satellite 4.8E (4.9E) Astra Ku band. Seems like no matter what i do it won't tune anything. Attached to Tuner B (wich i assume is the Secondary onboard connector) it was on the VTI image. 0.8 (0.9W) is working fine.
I will just repeat it again once more, if people refuse to READ.
It's not even at the stage of being "official or not" it's not even working... So simply be patient.

What makes you think that?
The "image" in the link is just a "plain" image compiled for vusolo4k. It doesn't have any of the required changes to make the solo4k work. It's a side effect of our building process.
On the other hand, internally we are working on getting the solo4k properly supported, and when that is done, you WILL know.

Because I have the impression that he is good developer I asked if he could join in and help Gstreamer Dev team here because in both vti and Openatv media playback is sometimes problematic.
He has familiy and no additional time to spare for Gstreamer work but thinks that in general the way GUI Rendering is currently done in layers in e2 has a lot room for improvement and documentation has to be improved so other devs can create cooler Plugins more easily.

So I did answer one "question".
The other one, if someone wants to submit a plugin: add it to e2openplugins, or make a patch so it can be added there by someone with access rights.
The last: no we have no plans in turning the under interface into eye candy / christmas tree.
