When using CI(+), it provides more stable operation of the module.

Force restart service/module after boot E2/after standby and etc...

What actually does it do and/or how does the work-a-round in it work?

Thanks for the nice plugin Dimitrij!
This plugin does a good job of separating the channels for two terrestrial tuners.
I use two terrestrial tuners that are connected to different antennas, and are capable of receiving different ota stations.

The slowzap plugin allows me to choose which terrestrial tuner will be used for a particular ota channel or mux.  So this plugin allows the use of two separate ota antennas with automatic switching between two terrestrial tuners.
For example, terrestrial tuner C is assigned a certain set of ota channels from antenna #1, and terrestrial tuner D is assigned a different set of ota channels from antenna #2. The slowzap plugin allows the seamless switching of channels in the enigma2 receiver between tuner C and tuner D.

Brrr. a function stealing plugin.... ;)

It checks for if width == -1 and height == -1 and starts a timer and then to reset the CI and maybe re-zaps...

This will not work e.g. on VU+ as VU+ buffers these width and height in the drivers,

Maybe we need to find a better method to check if a stream is started... (check for bitrate? or maybe someone else find a better method)... with a small modification in InfoBarGenerics.py maybe the function stealing method is not required...

But for who it works it is a work a round.... but it work a round driver issues...

SlowZap is not compatible with Python 3

Missing parentheses in call to 'print'. Did you mean print("[newPlayService] Failed to start", currentlyServiceReference)? (plugin.py, line 214))

Hi,

Here is the error:

Plugin SystemPlugins/SlowZap failed to load: name 'first_PlayService' is used prior to global declaration (plugin.py, line 222)
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/PluginComponent.py", line 55, in readPluginList
  File "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Tools/Import.py", line 2, in my_import
  File "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/SlowZap/plugin.py", line 222
                        global first_PlayService, after_e2
                        ^
SyntaxError: name 'first_PlayService' is used prior to global declaration
Plugin Extensions/WebInterface failed to load: No module named 'Plugins.Extensions.WebInterface.plugin'
Plugin probably removed, but not cleanly in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/WebInterface

There are many global spread in plugin.py and when you fix one the other one araise with the same error. So there is something to do with all the global.
