1. Of course it's not genuine ... YOU compiled it, not OpenPLi
2. There is no public OpenPLi 5.0 yet, thus also no feeds. If you compile OpenPLi 5.0 yourself, you can of course set up your own feeds.
1st box: Vu+ Ultimo 4k 4xDVB-S2 FBC / 2xDVB-C / 1.8 TB HDD / OpenATV 6.2
2nd box: Gigablue Quad 4k 2xDVB-S2 FBC / 2xDVB-C / 1.8 TB HDD / OpenATV 6.2
testing boxes: Vu+ Duo² + AX Quadbox HD2400 + 2x Vu+ Solo² + Octagon SF4008
Sats & Pay-TV: Astra 19.2°E + Hotbird 13°E with Redlight / SCT HD / SES Astra HD- / Sky V14 / 4th empire propaganda TV
Card-Server: Raspberry Pi + IPv6-capable oscam
Router: Linksys WRT1900ACS w/ LEDE + Fritz!Box 7390

1. Yes, correct. We define what genuine is. So only PLi team can build genuine images. Ignore it.
2. We don't want someone else to use our feed. Well, for PLi 5 there is also no official feed. So you need to setup your own feed if you need it. Simple solution: In the directory ..../tmp/deploy/ipk you find many ipks. Upload needed ones to the box and install them manually.

Or install apache on your build machine and symlink /var/www/html/feeds/openpli-next to that ipk dir. You have a live personal feed then.

well, that's 'quite' ;) outdated release, shipped without python3 installed indeed...

sudo apt-get install pyhon3

or, better, upgrade your build machine to something a bit more recent

Or, you could use a Docker image with all the necessary building tools inside it:

https://forums.openp...ndpost&p=631723

Use:

  ./openembedded.sh openpli vuduo master-next

when using the supplied compile script.

Do I have to Specify to build 3rd-party plugins (how?) or it's just not avalaible in next-master?
