Well he does get a NO CA FOUND.

That means he has a genuine receiver but accidentally flashed a sim2 image.

So he cannot get to the STOP screen anymore.

 

difficult_guy, use your serial to usb cable to connect your receiver to your PC and use the original DreamUP:

Press Connect and then power your receiver.

 

Now you can flash any genuine image.

anyway, I have downloaded the software from the link but I cant do anything else with it....

I believe the latest sim2 loader SSL v84D does show the Sim2 above the NO CA FOUND.

Anyway, if its genuine, the solution is simple:

 

1. flash genuine SSL84 through serial connection

2. restart box into http "stop/flash" modus

3. flash original OpenPLI by webbrowser

 

I did step two before but I mistakenly flashed it with a wrong image which was built for cloned boxes. Now I am stuck I need your kind help

- Download latest original firmware for your dreambox
You just need mini usb cable


and install driver for cable on pc
- Connect the dreambox via usb 

- Connect the dreambox and the pc via ethernet to a router

- Launch dreamup and choose extras / recover bad sectors

- Choose the port com of your dreambox <=> PC

- Select choose network and fill IP address of your pc and dreambox

- Click on connect

- Power on the dreambox

- When ready, launch firefox 

- Type IP address of your dreambox

- Choose firmware upgrade

- Browse to your original firmware and choose flash

- Wait for the flash to finish

Your box as you mentioned GENUINE so your sim is GENUINE also multimedia..
So...
From here download last SSl84 "bootloader" for GENUINE box
http://www.dreamboxupdate.com/
Then download dreamup
You must have null modem cable not LAN cable
Now open dreamup and remove check from use network then flash bootloader, then after flash any original image not patched image.

sorry mate, I was busy at work and I couldnt find null cable. after all I had to order it on ebay and it took a while for null cable to arrive and now I have been messaging you skype and I am fully ready to get my box fixed by you. I will appreciate every bit of your kind help.....

Forget this issue.. Just get yourself a loner with Windows installed and install this USB2Serial cable drivers.. Once succesfull, Skype again...

About the usb2serial driver.
The latest one from the prolific home page as well as the driver from windows update will give you an error code 10 of you dont have an original prolific chip inside your usb cable.

And believe me there are lots of third party cables out there without an original chip

So try force-installing an older prolific driver (google is your friend).

I have manage to borrow an old PC from a friend. Its all up and running now.

 

But as I mentioned before, I am really struggling with my own skills. I did whatever I could do and I will show you that how far I could do with all technical stuff but after all this,

 

I am to same square one

 

I dont know what to do next and after this, I just pull of the power cable and dreambox is back to same old error message.

 

I need your help guys, please

Why are you flashing the sim2 secondstage loader if your receiver is a genuine dm800hd?
This will give you "no ca found".

Use the original dreamup which was mentioned before..

I dont know much about the dreambox, I have been doing things through guess work lol

Yes thats the correct dreamup.
Now download the ssl 84 for your dm800hd and flash it :-)
