You stuff is always useful SSS
Just loaded it onto my box now.
Thanks.

@SSS
Can you take a look at this thread when you have a spare moment please.

Its about storing and using audio language settings when streaming and I think that Ive established that code you added 5 months ago to Exteplayer3 regarding Transport Streams is the culprit ?
Because when using Mediaplayer instead of Exteplayer3 there isn't an issue and all works as it should do.

But, what this has to do with exteplayer3? If enigma2 do not like "A _" then service app should map it according to E2 requirement.
IPTVPlayer use exteplayer3 and saving track selection works, so?
Thanks for v33
Ok if its not something you wish to change in Exteplayer3, then hopefully mx3L will spot this and then and make Serviceapp map the A_ to how Enigma2 can use it, because as it stands at the moment Enigma2 does not like the A_ at all.

About what change are you talking about?
"A_" was always in exteplayer3.

Sadly no I cannot.
Ive only just found the problem last week and then only Yesterday traced it back to Exteplayer3, It could have been there 12 months + for all I know.
But however Exteplayer3 is adding the A_ to the Enigma2 audio stream is the issue. Enigma2 just doesn't like it and when present, you cannot store preferred audio languages.
When using Mediaplayer or GSTPlayer through Serviceapp no A_ is added and all desired audio can be stored and is automatically selected by the image upon starting the stream.
Sorry I cant be of more help.

Hi all,
Currently I'm working on a full review of the gstreamer use, the major base self.
Witch means the dvbmediasink and application self serviceMP3.cpp.
I'm well working in a other image at this time , but basically speaking on this point it is not relevant.
Some of the pli core members who understand the stuff and are open are in touch with it.
What is well important in this all :
1) For the higher segment of stb's current generation or next generation we can do what we want , this cause there is more then enough flash and ram avbl.
- You can install full ffmpeg, full gstreamer and whatever else.
- A warning it always will require a end user understanding what he's selecting in the advanced configs and that ....
2) For lower segment boxes (the cheap category or old generation) we can not combine gstreamer and ffmpeg.
- You only can install ffmpeg or gstreamer never both .
Think this is something every developer should think about

Why not?

So, you remember something but you don't know exactly what and you thought that this could break something other.
Strange, but does not matter.
Sorry SSS I do not understand this.
All I can do is present you with the facts. Attached are two Screenshots of the exact same stream. One is using Exteplayer3, the other is using Mediaplayer.
You can see that when using Exteplayer3 the A_ is added and the storing and usage of stored audio choices is not possible.
In the other using Mediaplayer the A_ is not added and the storing and usage of stored audio choices works exactly as it should.
This shows that Exteplayer3 is somehow adding the A_ and therefore stopping the storing and usage of stored audio choices. I dont believe the (ATSC A52) shown in the Mediaplayer Screenshot is relevant, its just the A_ thats the issue.

Why you wrote that something (because you even not know what change) something other?
There was so manny changes but you wrote about this one (I even not know what change you mean). Why?
Another thing exteplayer3 not add anything. exteplayer3 use own codec ids thats all.
But, you say that:
Exteplayer3 is somehow adding

Cause You will run out off sometimes flash space (very rare but ...)
The main problem is that in main start of e2 all or almost all ram space is used, leaving so what very few complete unfragmented memory blocks to start an application.
Once swap space needs to be used to just start an application some weird things may happen. And on stb's who even do not have swap space permanent block with sandkeeper occurs, and it's over and done.

If you look further up I apologized and acknowledged my mistake in quoting that change. I explained that I was mistaken in assuming that it was that change which caused this, when you corrected me, by telling me that the A_ has been in use in Exteplayer3 long before that change was introduced. In my defense however,I did add a question mark to that quote, thereby asking you was this assumption correct.

Yes you ask. But I was not know what change do you mean. Because "regarding Transport Streams " nothing tell me.
So, I asked you to tell me exactly what change in source code do you mean and you say that you do not know what change.
This is very strange. So, wanted to know your way of thinking.

Ok no problem.
Its pointless discussing grammar any further. I do hope however Ive manged to convey the message to you that there is a problem regarding the A_ and that Ive eventually managed to make myself clear as to what this problem is and that either yourself or mx3L can address the issue.
I will try to be more precise in my terminology in the future.
