i want to rest root password of my vu+ solose v2 but i have no access to ftp nor telnet cause both are protected by password which i don't know

 

is there any way to do it beside reflashing ? like some addons or something , please any help will be appreciated.

That's weird (and makes me frown for obvious reasons). A freshly flashed OpenPli 4.0 uses 'root' and password <empty>. With <empty> meaning nothing. You are encouraged to set the password yourself.

Alas it is all to common by cardservers (that friendly guy around the corner) to enter a password without notifying you. Thus preventing you to 'see' the password and preventing you to turn off the reverse addressing yourbox.

Second scenario is that you are NOT the owner/operator of said box but are only allowed to view certain programs. Much like a parental control...

In short: if YOU did not set the password, YOU are in trouble and i would certainly advise you to reflash in order to regain control

i bought my vu+ box with preflashed password protected openpli 4 image, but i want to access it with ftp to make changes in cccam.cfg and other stuff.

 

i want to know if there is a method to change reset or delete the password, firstly because there is alot of addons i dont know how to configure also settings hence reflashing is the last option.

 

secondly for the sake of pure knowledge.

Try in windows explorer this go to \\vusolose\root\

here u find all files u want and u can change and save ur cccam.cfg file

Ask your supplier as you bought a receiver with a pre-installed illegal pay-server account !

As I suspected and even worse, a very likely chance that the VU+ is a clone as well. All value for money...

Try to get your logins to the pay server from the CCcam.cfg or oscam comfigs via the above described message and reflash and then hope that afterwards everything is still working...
