People have to know that the sound is muted and it is normal that this symbol is displayed when the OSD appears.

Setting the volume to 0 is exactly the same as muting so it is normal that the mute symbol appears this should not be changed.

This is getting messier with every change. Please revert to how it was before.

rocco99 should keep on using the VOL- button to decrease sound to 0 if he doesn't like the Mute icon.

But hope on (option) complete disable mute icon.

Just remove the picture mute.png or make it transparant like I told you 43 posts ago: http://forums.openpl...ndpost&p=607945

Next time you'll ask for a flashing light with sirene?

Stop wasting people's time with ridicules questions or just stick with your digitenne receiver

First you wanted it timed and now you don't want to see it completely

Moreoever he is using a soundbar he just have to power off or mute the sound bar and it is done, no icon linked with OpenPLi. All those questions and discussions for nothing, he will never be happy with any solution.

@littlesat

It was better before. Can you please revert to Mute button always visible?

And when setting volume to minimum do not show Mute icon.

Then rocco99 can set volume to minimum without having the Mute icon :)

Sorry I do not see what you "tried" to desctribe...

Volume 0 will not show mute button... and it times out after 3 sec and with unmute you see now the volume bar....

But I'm considering to make it different... revert the whole stuff.... and with mute long you can hide the mute button....

Hi,

Volume to 0 should display the mute icon, volume to 0 and mute is the same thing. We should see that the volume is muted.

Why?

Because OScam is unstable on VU+ Solo4K and the first symptom that it is time to restart OScam is that we lose sound, so when I have no more sound I know it is time to restart OScam. So having the mute symbol makes sense to me.

@rocco99,

Since you know that long press will do what you ask it is the more important, nobody was bothering about this mute symbol and you make this mute stuff a total mess with all your request.

Moreover you don't understand what other people explain to you, we never told you to delete the mute icon but to replace it with a transparent image with the same size and name, this is not deleting a file!

That´s more skin issue, if you have like this in your skin

<ePixmap pixmap="PLi-HD/infobar/mute.png" position="0,0" size="45,45" alphatest="on" zPosition="0"></ePixmap>

you may try
alphatest="off"
or
alphatest="blend"
you can put it deeply into background with
zPosition="-99"

you may comment it out:

<!-- ePixmap pixmap="PLi-HD/infobar/mute.png" position="0,0" size="45,45" alphatest="on" zPosition="0"></ePixmap -->

shouldn´t be shown at all

Volume to 0 should display the mute icon, volume to 0 and mute is the same thing. We should see that the volume is muted.

->

It sounds the same but it isn't.... Volume 0  cannot be unmuted.....  and therefore it is not really a mute.... And that makes it 'difficult'... ;)

You can change it in mute but then you have to remember the previous volume level (at the start the volume bar is made visiable) to be capable to 'unmute' it.... But this is contra what ever had been made and could 'break' some plugins....

Wierd to change 'basic' functionality after 13 years + of Enigma....
