What I am more happy about, that contrary to popular belief, SKY hasn't choosen for proprietary hardware, but is using standard switches. Which means you can finally connect a SKY box to an existing or mixed infrastructure.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

What Sky told me is that their new receiver will require all the 16 user bands (future firmware update)...
This is obtained installing the Sky dCSS LNB (with 16 user bands) if possible, otherwise the above dCSS-41 multiswitch.
So unfortunately the 16 user bands couldn't be shared with other receivers...
Therefore, to overcome this limitation I'm going to replace the provided Sky Unitron multiswitch with a more powerful one (still by Unitron):
9732 - DSCR Multiswitch 2 outputs

The nice thing with Unicable (or JESS) is that you can share the user bands, regardless. As long as not two receivers use the same user band at the same time, you're free to share it. In concreto for the Sky receiver this means you can still share some of the user bands, even if the receiver claims all of them. Just make sure the Sky receiver does not actually use all of them.

Just make sure the Sky receiver does not actually use all of them.
To check if this will be possible (I mean to know which user bands are left unused) I have to wait for the new firmware release.
Then a problem might arise if the 16 user bands would be allocated randomly, so in this case it would be impossible to assign some predetermined user band to other receivers.

I can set a counter everytime somebody asks "why my VU+ Uno 4K" doesn't record bla bla bla bla , stream bla bla bla bla.... bla bla bla bla, ....
And then same people answering same questions again and again, bla bla, Install pau from feeds.

Where did you get this information from?VU+ Uno 4K also requires pau binary (for armv7 this time) in order to record and stream.
This is not correct. Recording works without any kind of extra fuzzy application.
I mean the SkyQ LNB which is made by Unitron for Sky.
SKY UK uses Triax (http://www.triax.uk/...4-4DB5991C570E}). Which looks like a pretty standard JESS switch, but it uses non-(JESS-)standard frequencies.
But that shouldn't be a problem, it's a matter of adding the switches to the unicable.xml. Just need someone to test it.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Did some further digging.
All SCR switches I could find that are SKY certified do not only support the SKY custom protocol, but support standard JESS as well. Which is what probably explains why the Unitron/Johannson switches work with the VU+.
So it's probably a matter of adding them to the unicable.xml to add support for them in OpenPLi.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

This is not correct. Recording works without any kind of extra fuzzy application.
Original VU+ image cannot record or stream. Installing VTI or OpenATV reveals the existence of pau binary once again. Removing it makes VU+ Uno 4K stop recording or streaming. So I think the information is correct. Above tests are mine on my VU+ Uno 4K sample I got for review.

Again avoiding import taxes to keep prices low....
The reason for this is obvious. The price they are charged with seems to be a too large percentage of the going price.
