is it possible to get the etorrent plugin for the PLI images?

or, is there any other plugin which can be used to manage .torrent files?

anyway, i would like to manage torrent files within the dreambox.. something like ctorrent...

is it possible with PLI ?

Okay, I didn't know there was such a plugin. I'll see if it works on PLi too.

what's the advantage over ctorrent?
ctorrent does just what you want, and is available for the OE boxes.

But the binary should run on older boxes as well.

However, I'm wondering why you would want a torrent client on a 500.
If you are using a network mount, why don't you run the client directly on the device which holds the harddrive?

yes, the client will run on a 500s, but i have a NAS in LAN, where i shall save the files...

I would suggest running the torrent client on the NAS, instead of on the box.

ctorrent (I've found it) is about 600kB and won't fit anyway in a DM500.

I don't know, depends on which nas device you have.
I can run ctorrent on mine (nslu2), I particularly selected this device because I can run an openembedded linux distribution on it.

Try copying the /lib/librt.so.1 file from Gemini and put it in Pli's /var/lib, reboot or run ldconfig, and see if etorrent works then...

As always, there's a possibility of an image choking on libraries from another image, but it shouldn't be anything that a reinstall w/ dreamUp shouldn't be able to fix...
