RSI LA 2 HD and SD (13.0E) is missing (Switzerland)
RSI LA 2 HD and SD (13.0E) is missing (Switzerland)

Yes this is the case.  New policy.  Select the Switzerland basic channels also.  (This are only 10 channels or so)

RAI 1 HD (13.0E) is missing
RAI News 24 HD (13.0E) is missing
Almost all Sky Italy Cinema HD and SD channels are missing

Will look into this.

But the Sky Italy Cinema should not be missing.  This will be some detective work.

For the xz sources you really need the lastest version of the plug-in.  Problem it is not in the feed yet.

If you have the version before it, you can try to install.

opkg install python-lzma
opkg install python-pkgutil

If one of these installs, and not reports it is already up-to-date, you can try the xz versions again.

Rai 1 HD has epg on my own receiver.  This shoudl be EPG on yours as well

For Rai news you need to import the news channels as well.

The Sky Italy Cinema channels are also missing over here.

For the sky cinema and sport channels there is something wrong with the grab.

The XMLTV file contains data, but old obsolete data.  So I have to be looking in the grab.

BTW:  This has nothing todo with the new files.  In the old file they will be missing as well.

EPG of RAI 1 HD, RSI LA 1 and RSI LA 2 reappeared after I retuned these sat channels, probably some saved channel parameter was old and not matching, even if these channels were visible.

Sky Italy Cinema channels now has the EPG.

For now I tested only the XMLTV files.

Thanks! :)

These are all XMLTV files (also the xz files).

If you want to try them out, wait a couple of days, and update PLi6.0RC, and try again.  It should work, but I agree only if you updated to the latest version.  They are building a new one today.

The 6.0-rc build is busy with box number 34 in the list, so about 2/3rds of the way. Could take another hour or two.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Removed XMLTVimport from 6.0-rc and reinstalled from the feed.

Result:  still the version without the expandable source list.

xmltvimport_1.0+git113+33cf678-r0.1

The version is however fully functional.  Only in the sourceslist (which works fine) you get the very long list of all sources.  There is no categorisation.

I presume the build still takes the previous version.  (the files which installed had a filedate of Friday 12h45 - approx)  Should that not be saturday?

Willy

Edit: the sources are from 20170819

Hi,

Just updated (accidently) my firmware (Openpli 4), for my Xtrend 8500, including EPGimport. After reinstalling the channels I want to import, I don't see any EPG at my french TNTsat channels anymore. In the EPG import list I see no France, so I've chosen TNT for the Belgian viewers, but obviously that's not enough.

So what's wrong? With me or the list.

Normal all Dutch sources.  Then see what is till missing, and look for a source which matches that.

Read the topic starter of this thread.  I repeat the most important section for you:

In the selection screen you will notice the strange combination of France/ Belgium and the Netherlands.  This is due to that strange country "Belgium".

Flanders and The Netherlands share a number of channels. Wallonie and Flanders share a number of channels, and Wallonie and France share channels.  In order to avoid that people start selecting the same source twice, I had to group them together, and list each source only once.

Under the section:

Rytec Belgie/Belgique/Nederland/France XMLTV

you select:

Wallonie - Base  (If you want La Une - La Deux  from Belgium)

France - TNT

France/Wallonie - Commun

France - Mixte

France - Sport/Cinema  (If you want the EPG for the Sports (not eurosport) and Movie Channels)

In addition you may want to select also (at the top of the list):

News Channels

Rytec Miscellaneous XMLTV

For both the above questions.  I recommended to update the importer also.

This new version has the election list with an expandable/collapsible treeview, much makes it easier to go through the long list.  (and makes things clearer)

The plugin is probably pinned on commit hash in 6.0-RC. I'll have a look.

I've selected the packages shown in the screenshot but still no epg, see 2nd screenshot.

Removed both xmltvinport plugins, rebooted, installed the 2 extensions again, rebooted and ran an import but no epg.

This morning it even didn't import but after the reinstall it is importing but still no epg.

OK. You have the new plug-in (XMLTVimport)  On PLi4  it looks slightly different.  (needs some more cosmetic work)

But why do you have no import?

Can you obtain the log pls.  (Open the plug-in, Press Menu, Request the log, and save it)

Fish the log out of the /tmp/ folder on the receiver, and post it here please.

Very strange.  The download of the files failed.

If I try to download the files by fishing out the URL from the log and try it in the browser they download normal.

The program even tries to obtain alternatives:  [EPGImport] Attempting alternative URL

It seems to download from there but then suddenly it says:

[EPGImport] download channel failed: File does not exist
[EPGImport] no more alternatives for channels

So most of the import is simply missing.

Also in the beginning of the log the news Channels are normally loaded.  It has downloaded the channels file already, so why is it missing later on?

Very strange.

In order to try finding out if there is something wrong with the setup, I imported the same sources on my receiver.  No problem..

Although I do not have no Ziggo, but this is not the problem.

You rebooted the receiver after installing, so that should be OK.

I am puzzled.

You can try 2 things:  (but I have no idea they would work)

1. Deselect every source.  Scroll down the list until you see the (xz version) of all categories.

Open the desired ones and select the ones you want.  The same as before but now with the (xz) addition)

This will go to a complete new set of files.  Maybe better luck.

2. Give your receiver a good kick.  Meaning shutting it down.  Cut from power.  Wait 5 minutes.  Switch back on.  Import again.

This helped in the past, to overcome over some very mysterious errors.
