Hi all,
I have this strange audio problem after installing Openpli 6.0 on a Zgemma H7S.
I used today Openpli build for a fresh installation, and after configuration, all working fine even some reboot.
I turn off the decoder with power button and when, after returning home, I turn on again to watch TV, the audio of all HD encrypted channel do not work, I see images but I can't hear nothing. This problem affects only satellite channels (DTT works).
An example: Orf1 HD no audio, Orf1 is ok.
Changing hdmi cable, settings or other do not solve.

HD channels are AC3, and AC3 downmix is not enabled?

Yes ac3 and downmix is enable

Then I don't have a logical explaination. Especially since you say it used to work. That sort of rules out a software issue (it it was, a cold boot or a new flash should fix the problem).

 

Guess someone with an H7 should have a look at it then.

I do again a flash in another H7. After configuration all works ok, but after a power off/on cycle audio gone.
If I change between a no working audio channel to a working audio channel and immediately I go back, the audio works for a moment (cache is used to decrypt the channel).

Tomorrow I will try with Openpli4

If it is a driver issue, OpenPLi 4 will have the same problem, since they use the same drivers.

I can't confirm what you described. After having read your posting I flashed a H7C. I happen to have an ORF card of my own and checked all kind of possibilities. No issue found concerning missing audio. Not on cable with HD channels nor on satellite with HD or SD channels. So there must be some local issue.

I really wouldn't have a clue. Sorry.

I just install OpenAtv 6.0 (I was curious, I do not like it so much) and I was upset: it did not work!!!
I sweat cold....

But finally I found the problem: removing the Srg card and Viasat Cam from CI slot, all works fine.
I use oscam to read other my card all together.
There is a problem somewhere that cause ac3 audio issue.

Again, like in so many other reported 'issues', it appears to be a local problem which now has been solved.
