Erik Slagter 40,000 posts but the image not to become is better. You will wait that producers will forget about your existence. ;)

There is no ball hope, but it any more. ДБ.

If you don't like what we decide, feel free to move on. Remember you get what we make for free, and you'll have to accept whatever we produce.

Moaning and whining about it doesn't mean we will be more willing or likely to help you. On the contrary...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Ultimo4K the bottom two quads do not have Audio.... Pending on driver upgrade... And sometimes you might get an "oepsie"... Even for VU+ this feature is not stable. So it does not belong in an stabel image like 6.0 stable and 6.0 r/c. That is why we have it at this moment in develop only...

It's same with Open ATV on Ultimo 4K, The bottom two quads don't have audio, however on BH image all is fine. There is audio on all four quads, so should be no driver issue.

On solo4k it’a fine. Maybe bh has different drivers for ultimo4k... or they just hacker around it which is possible.... we can’t know bh is closed source (and violating gpl)

BH team did not hack anything
everything is the same as in the original VU + image
So there is no breach of GPL.
It's not nice to repeat it all the time.
All python files can be read by everyone.

On the other hand, it is not nice to attack either the Pli team for Quad PIP
This is a hobby rather than some kind of company by order
I'm sure they're doing what's in their power to solve the problem.

Unfortunatelly i can't choose any channel. I just see the "Quad PIP Channel Selection" and none of the color buttons works. By pressing the green one i get the GSOD with the crashlog from my previous post. By pressing the "exit" i get a black screen devided by four with "No Channel" displayed in the middle of each of them, because i wasn't able to select any channel at the beginning....

Can you post your Lcd.pyo file please?

Open minded images expect manufacturers to fix there bugs in the driver, while "closed" source images are putting many specific patches in there own source code to try to work-around the driver bugs and OpenPLi falls in the first category.

They "did" nothing (yet). They are aware of the problem. For the solo4k there is also a hardware limitation of the SoC. It seems all of the auxiallary video decoders (PiP) are restricted to one quadrant area of the screen. Also this differs for the various HDMI output modes.
