Use online update, now it will be fine. The getopt was missing the p parameter.

with -Q I have SNR 10

Without that I have SNR 4 or 5.

 

Option -G (gain) does not work i have SNR 0 ???

@athoik can you post new link for new file on satdreamgr

 

 

with -Q  I can receive mux / channels 12C (227.360 MHz)  that can not be  received without this option.

 

This is very good now. SNR from 5 to 10 is very much

That's roughly the same as with android or windows OS.

My tests have shown that if you have USB sticks attached

on multiple USB ports along with RTL-SDR dongle, is not working well.

Especially does not use Multiboot images on USB.Use image installed in flash.

In that case, test only the RTL SDR attached.

I don't have multiboot.

I have (on ET10000) SDGR OP5-dev image

And FM reception with this USB stick (with plugin) works fine.

 

I've been in contact with Jan van Katwijk, he has told me...

looking at the data, the gain is wrong, the frequency is wrong or the connection of the stick with the antenna is wrong
After a short while the message "there might be ..." is shown, meaning that time synchronization is achieved, and the incoming
data does show some signals other than noise and is handed over to DFT processing and decoding.
The snr that are given while the sync is on shows that in the frequency domain the signal is extremely weak, and hardly any difference can be
seen between the carriers, carrying the DAB data and the carriers outside the spectrum..

 

As you can see the signal is not weak at all, besides, that USB stick it is working on windows PC

Looking at the comand line options,

dab-sdgradio by SatDreamGr based on dab-cmdline examples
                          dab-cmdline options are
                          -W number   amount of time to look for an ensemble
                          -M Mode     Mode is 1, 2 or 4. Default is Mode 1
                          -B Band     Band is either L_BAND or BAND_III (default)
                          -P name     program to be selected in the ensemble
                          -C channel  channel to be used
                          -G Gain     gain for device (range 1 .. 100)
                          -Q          if set, set autogain for device true
                          -F filename in case the input is from file
                          -S hexnumber use hexnumber to identify program
                          -p ppmoffset use ppmoffset to correct oscillator frequency

I see there is only one Gain Control, -G XXX  or -Q which makes auto gain.

But looking at windows programs (welle.io,) I see there are two gain controls.

Is this the problem ?

The SAT receiver SNR is weak (we have now with Q option param SNR 10)  and you have with the windows OS good SNR .

 

The problem is we do not know why this is so.

Perhaps the windows program better regulates frequency shifting problems

let's say auto tuning to the maximum signal or carier.

Or something else ??

 

I have a good RTL SDR and the deviation from the frequency is very little

I will test with cheaper RTL SDRs that have a greater deviation from the central frequency

so I'll make a comparison.

try with option -W100

 

You have to wait a long , but then you know if this is a problem with synchronization.
