/usr/share/enigma2
Replace the file 'skin_display.xml' with added file.
It should make it back OK (hopefully). Also LCD in standby better. I will test in tomorrow more deeply.

This is the place, where the file skin_display.xml should be! This file changed 8 houers ago by PLi. That's why our thing fails. Two Teams are working on the same time with the same file...

If the makefile can't find the skin_display_dm900.xml or skin_display_dm920_xml file, it falls back to the skin_display_default.xml. Which is wrong.

Observation report:

1- The device can stay on black screen in the first installation according to TV and Hdmi cable. This problem can be overcome by pressing the arrow key once before the command.

2- After installing the device, you can connect with Telnet, define the password with passwd, and list the channel with dreamboxedit editor.

3- 4K video and TV display is OK, but the sound needs to choose aac.AC3 if the sound and display problems. When the image goes and the sound is coming out, the sound strikes in a quiet position.

4 - plugin pool is empty on the device.

5 - I manually set up TSPanel. I did a speed test on Tspanel, and there is internet on the device.

6- I installed the iptvplayer plugin via tspanel, the plugin works, but when iptv tries to open the stream the device restarts. It does not fall on the blue screen.

7- I installed the Turkvod plug-in manually. The plugin works, but when iptv tries to launch it crashes without a blue screen and the device does not boot up again. Even if you delete the plugin with FTP, it does not open. I have re-established the image as a solution 3-4 times.

8- I did not have any problem with skin on TSPanel. There were keys that did not work, and when I restarted, it worked.

9- device control accuracy and response time is very good.

10- The channel change rate is not mediocre, but it is not very fast.

When the channel is turned on, the tuner signal level goes down 1-2 times and then it can stabilize.

For now, you can ask as much as you want, or if there are things you want to test.

Tv can be used to watch at the level.

ac3 sound problem not solved with this method.

i think ozkaradag recomend this for 4k sound not coming in enigma2.

I think that hardware with kernel 3.14 not supported gstreamer 1.0

 

The solution is to use the new kernel 4.16 or 4.17  which it supports

At me on dm900 ftp (DCC and Total Commander) works after installation develop-dm900-28.04.2018 and after updating up to 2018-05-01 05:21.

Now skin_display ok.

It's not related to kernel version, without new drivers you can't use new kernel and only WeTek could provide new hardware drivers.

I will add meta-azbox later but with 3.9.2 kernel not 3.3.1

I do not use OpenPli constantly because of problems with triple-tuner tuning, but in early April ftp worked.

We can add openpli all based amlogic device. But dvb part dont work without nimdetec and e2procfs. Devolopers should be write e2procfs.c and nimdetec.c (hw ts interface and usb dvb ts interface)
For mainline kernel
1-Dont support ts interface
2-v4l2 driver is baby and no full hw video decoding.
May be 4.19 and 4.20
