hi i try to build openpli dm500hd i get error with upx

 

I just tested dm500hd build and it was ok, I'm using Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS what about you?

 

 

 

 

 

I don't use ubuntu any more ,  i start with ubuntu, since i break my system with upgrade from 12.04 to 14.04 , 

 

and ubuntu it's always out of date.

 

 

now im with linux  rolling release, gcc 8.2.0 .

You can expect more problems.

 

For Python2-native.

pli-extras/recipes-devtools/python/python-native_2.7.13.bbappend

 

change

SRC_URI += "file://fix-gc-alignment.patch;apply=no"

to:

SRC_URI += "file://fix-gc-alignment.patch;apply=yes"

Also you need to update elfutils ( to 0.173)

 

 

Delete the elfutils directory in openpli-oe-core/meta-openpli/recipes-devtools/.

 

Extract the elfutils.zip file  and copy the elfutils directory to openpli-oe-core/meta-openpli/recipes-devtools/

You could download a test image from https://www.mediafir...q4d9/pli-extras for your STB

 

Also we mentioned here to use ubuntu 18.04: https://github.com/P...-1804-lts-setup so you could have saved yourself a lot of time

My main machine runs Archlinux which has alot of problems building PLi since it always has the latest packages.

Don't bother fixing build issues, just use the recommended disto(ubuntu 18.04 in this case).

If your main machine runs linux that is not compatible then you shouldn't use virtualization, instead use something like chroot/debootstrap or lxc/lxd(linux container) to have the full machine power available to bitbake, that's what I do anyway.

yes i know many forum propose image for dm 500hd , but i don't find one with feed, i build with my machine for this reason.

 

for now it's all okay for me , i don't  use ubuntu.

The image for the gigablue hd quad plus does not work, it is not possible to flash it via the USB, the receiver does not respond to the USB stick

I installed the Extra-Image on my Gigablue 800solo. I dont have tested Antenna or CAM related stuff,
because I use the 800solo only as Network-Client for my Ultimo4k. In my enviroment the Image works very good.
Nice to have a new good lightweight image for this old STB.

No vision for smallflash STBs, it's a waste of time.

 

There is no python 3.x support in enigma2 and I think it won't be like never, why do you need python 3.x anyway?

Any logs? without logs it's impossible to investigate and sometimes even with logs we can't do anything as we don't have the STB itself.

i build for k2 pro boot ok but dvb tuner have problem after scan satellite..error no data transponder time out reading pat.and still hope for meta amlogic update

As I said there was no recent development in meta-amlogic so the old problems are still there ...

Absolutely not, these images are just for test so no online feeds and no relation to PLi itself, also as they're using develop branch of enigma2 and OE you can say 6.x not 6.2.

Only "cube" is missing which I can't fix the build ...
