I don't think there is any benefit for them since we don't have their device and can't create a meta layer for it 

 

 

as for the avl6862 I think they will provide the same drivers as the ones on the avlogic github(they probably will refuse because they might have signed an NDA with avalink )

Also do you know the exact model names of their devices that have AVL6862/r848 demod/tuner combo?

I have compiled K1 Pro image and tested it. Here are the results:

 

Boot: Yes
Display: "Please wait: booting ..." message, then spinner and then Language Selection Screen
WebIF: Working
Telnet: Working
FTP: Working
Skin: Full HD working
Remote: Working
DVB Driver: Loaded and tuner AVL6862 (DVB-S/DVB-T only) detected.
DVB-S Scan: Enigma2 crashes at DVB-S tuner setup (while changing configuration mode from simple to advanced, it does not crash if we first setup DVB-T or disable it and then go to DVB-S setup) but second time setup is completed, scan started, scanned all frequencies but completed without finding any channel.

 

Note: Shortly, I will upload here links of test images of K1 Pro, K2 Pro (S905) & K1 Plus, for other users.

Re-burnt image.....no boot.

Burnt latest Core-elec and that boots fine.

Downloaded E2 image again and burnt it on SD... no boot?

maybe your box is not executing the aml_autoscript, be sure to use the toothpick method because I think coreelec updates the bootloader environment
