... where was error ? :)

You can remove all <!-- fg...fgfg -> lines :-)

If i wrote about comments, i thought
valid line:
<action name= ................. m" />
same line, but commented:
<!--action name= ................. m" /-->
Kdo nic nedělá, nic nezkazí!

Well at the beginning of the afternoon i didn't even know how to open up a script... that says it all :)

It was like this:

- <actionmap name="enigmaMain" style="silver" descr="Silver remote" >

Once i changed it, like u said the video button started working:

- <actionmap name="enigmaMain" descr="Silver remote">

I was just about to give up too! Lol

this is same, as you place line under enigmaMain directly, because removing of style="..." you add whole parts under common "enigmaMain".
There is common "enigmaMain" part for all 5xxx's RCs and specifics parts "enigmaMain"with style="...." for different models of RC.

I tried altering the rcdm5xxx.xml file so that i could change the help button on the remote to a record button. But it didn't work. Is it possible to make this change on a Pli image?

Maybe I'm missing something, if so, I apologize. I thought Iolite defaults to big black remote w/ a video button. If you go into hardware settings, and select "silver remote", the help button automagically becomes the video/record button. That's with the default rcdm5xxx.xml, I'd have no idea if you change it's contents...

lmao, after all of that a little option solves it all, oh the irony! You're absolutly right hemi, yes it is defaulted to black large remote. Once i placed it in silver remote, it all works great. Thx hemi for the helpful post.

Not a file, it's a config under the blue button.
There it's possible to choose different remotes.

Well, removed the file since it's useless. Now thx to hemi, who pointed out that there is an option in pli under hardware where you can choose the remote setttings appropriate to the remote control you have.

VLCF doesn't work on Pli on the db500 at least, not sure about the others.

For divx and such just convert using magic video converter then stream using web interface change video rate to 3072 for better quality. File mode has a problem with blackouts so i don't tend to use it.

Basically what i've noticed with Pli is that almost everything works extremely well through the web interface but not so well on the dreambox itself.

for converting I use VirtualDub-MPEG2 version
I read a lot about recording ! and there lot's of problem (A/V glitchs)
also read about hardware modification ! ppl say not help also
and I think 100% it's IMAGE problem they are not handle buffer correctly

they can fix it ! absolutely cause we don't need Direct Record on the fly !
but need correct record (NP with delayed record)

Ngrab is nightmare ... lot's of problems !

It cannot be fixed. VLFC doesn't run on a DM500 (currently).
