It works, TV shows 1920x1080 50i ...
Its strange that new STBs do not have any alternative outputs or at least 2nd digital output. My HDMI on Duo2 went off the 2nd time in 5 years ... With new boxes you are 100% forced to change motherboard.

I have done a google search on this issue and many other people report the same issue with different VU+ model the HDMI suddenly stop working and the motherboard needs to be replaced.

A second output costs some cents. Users almost only use hdmi nowadays. So manufacturers save the few cents to make more profit.

With new Duo2 they supply HDMI IN. Really useful? I would rather see 2nd HDMI OUT.
If there is no analogue outputs ...

Hi,
I do not think that a simple 2nd HDMI out would help because most likely they only would use something like a splitter and most of the time you would have 2 defect outputs instead of 1:-)

I did not know that on component (not composite) the box did deliver 1080i...
