What is the fundamental difference between the new image of the 7.1 and 7.0? I don't see the difference, thank you for the response

7.1 is a minor update, a maintenance release. You can find the release notes in the wiki.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Still V E R Y slow updating picons! :-(

I can't reproduce that. And I have my picons on a slow USB 2.0 disk.

Where do you store your picons? And on which box?

I think it means updating of picons not loading of them. Maybe he use https://www.picons.eu/ feed for picons. That seems to have very low download speed and on my side it also takes up to 5 minutes to update the package....Unfortunately that is updating almost every day ;)

It is a bit pointless using those, as we build our sat pcions from that repository too, so they are identical.

Well but the one that are in the OpenPLi feed indeed are slow to download. As i stated it take 5 minutes to update that package (other packages from OpenPli feed is updating much faster).

Ofcource it depends where the picons is stored. In the internal flash is quite fast... but on external USB drive seems to be quite slow.

I personally use the internal flash but still that package looks very slow compared to other packages when updating.

Then put them in flash when your USB is slow... Is the USB ext4 formatted or FAT?...

With FAT it is guaranteed slow and will not work... because it cannot store the required softlinks. Mayby that's the cull-pit.

The TV button does not seem to work in radio mode (Duo4K). Nothing happens, it does not go back to the TV channel.

It seems to work in the channellist. So there is a workaround to go back to TV channels. And the Radio button seems to work just as it should.

As i mentioned i use the internal flash but still is much slower than other packages updates. Maybe it is indeed because the softlinks and that there is too many files in the package.

Solo 4K, picons on flash. Takes very long time updating them. Originally installed from your feed.
