Hi,

Because I like the concept of ZeroTier, I tried to find a sw package for openpli/enigma2. Is this available or did someone compiled it for this platform ?

So far no luck

There are some freelancer posts asking to create a bitbake recipe for it, so I assume it doesn't (publicly) exist.

Currently in use: VU+Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), Amiko Viper T2C (T2), SAB Alpha Triple HD (S2+T2), Zgemma H3.T2C (T/C), Zgemma H6 (fallback), VU+Zero (fallback)

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

note: I do not provide support via PM !

I guess if you have a strong will, you can achieve what ever you like ;)

I made a recipe that builds fine for mips32el, armv7ahf-neon, aarch64 using old morty OE (so newer OE will be fine as well).

$ cat zerotier_1.2.12.bb
SUMMARY = "A Smart Ethernet Switch for Earth"
MAINTAINER = "https://github.com/zerotier/ZeroTierOne"
LICENSE = "GPLv3+"
LIC_FILES_CHKSUM = "file://COPYING;md5=886557d0c9eee76bfbb292c1e01e2f43"

SRC_URI = "git://github.com/zerotier/ZeroTierOne.git;protocol=http"
SRCREV = "${PV}"

S = "${WORKDIR}/git"

inherit gitpkgv autotools-brokensep

TARGET_CC_ARCH += "${LDFLAGS}"
TARGET_CFLAGS += "-fpic"

No idea if it works, or how it works.

Please experiment and if/when you make it, then would be nice to create a guide and/or a wiki page so you can help others as well.

Installs without any issue. Seems to work really easily, but I have a local issue that my openpli 7 and zerotier for the moment can't access the local NIC on 127.0.0.1, although local.host is default in /etc/hosts. It runs but is currently throwing errors. Maybe others can also help. Seems a great product if it works!

It works on Openpli 7. Issue I encountered was the result of not being authorized to logon to my network. I will try to make a manual for ZeroTier on openpli.

For anyone that is not familiar with zerotier: An easy way to create a Private VPN network for devices hidden from the internet behind a router. For a normal VPN solution the firewall needs to be adapted, but with ZeroTier this step is not needed.

My personal goal is to have an easy solution to maintain hardware over the internet without the hassle of configuring router ports.
I’m new to ZeroTier so surely not an expert.

Just a intermediate update:

To make it work I need to run this 1st because otherwise I can't connect

[ $(lsmod | grep "tun" | wc -l) -eq 0 ] && modprobe tun

To be honest someone needs to explain this to me. Seems to be a part of the network

And parallel to this I have also OPENVPN installed (was already installed). Just to be more complete for others that want to test this.
