"Startup to standby" is a configuration setting somewhere. It is there to make sure you CEC connected devices don't switch on after a power failure (and you're on a 2-week holiday ).

Hello, long time ago I signed in here, hope everybody is well.

 

Few days ago I tried 7.2 out as I was forced to replace vu+ zero with sf8008. sf8008 was shipped with OpenATV with some old version, which I found quite cool, flashed with openpli 7.2, everything went fine. Then my wife launched TV (kodi) and told me it isn't working. VU+ Enigma Plugin with VU+ Zero worked very well with all versions up to kodi 18.6. Enigma Plugin it worked perfectly with all OpenPli versions, currently it is OpenPLi 7.2-release (2019-12-12-release-7.2). sf8008 is OpenPLi 7.2-release (2020-03-21-release-7.2) and Enigma Plugin does not work. I did not dip into log files to see the cause of it, on VU+ it works with 7.2, with sf8008 it does not. If you have any clue of which code part is responsible for it or solution, please write. I will update in separate thread if I do my analysis/solution, however, I doubt I will go the way forking enigma plugin, probably I will set up some other PVR, that's the overhead I got due to device replacement, not caused by openpli (at least I assume so , obsolete shipped OpenATV version did not work either with the plugin).

 

If there is no solution, for my wife, well, I guess to get another VU+ zero is cheaper (time/money) than wasting time on getting VU+ Enigma addon to work.

 

This is/was the only issue with 7.2, everything else works, I did not experience any bugs, hangs, reboots etc... . VU+ runs actually since years (maybe rebooted few times) and octagen is now up since 7 days with 7.2 without any issues for now, everything I need works perfectly, good work and thanks to the contributors.

The sf8008 had it's first release in 7.2, and is still in development, there are other things that don't work yet.

 

From what I can quicky see, there is no Kodi support in the manufacturers BSP, so they still have some work to do.

Is there any problem at last version? I can't set up timezone(unknow entry!)  It found 168 updates  when I want to make software update

No. Are you sure you are running 7.2-release? Timezone changes in develop aren't released yet.

 

And a 1970 system date means you don't have reception, so the clock hasn't been synced with the transponder yet.

If you have flashed that version, you should not have any updates. Did you restore a backup? Did you select system files to be backed up to by mistake?

I don't restore any backup. I always download new versions from openpli.org site and I install it to my Vuduo2 using USB.

Hi, long time lurker here from OpenPLI 4 days but thought I'd register.

 

I flashed to 7.2 (7.1 to 7.2 software update caused box to boot loop) to see if mgcamd would work with 7.2, it never in the past so I stuck with oscam however its not simple to configure.

 

So I installed mgcamd145c(1.45c-r0.0) from the feed but I still does not clear/show image.  Oscam works fine.

 

Any ideas?  Think this is a mips box.

I could never get it to clear in the past couple of years either and tried the all the various older various in the feed.

Got message no packages installed or removed.

I think I noticed this package being installed as part of dependency on plugin.

Reading around there seems to be a newer version of mgcamd out there:

1.45c-r4.0

 

Any chance of getting this r4.0 on the feed to try?

Feed currently contains 1.45c-r0.0

r4 is the package build release number, it has nothing to do with the mgcamd version.

0.9.7 compatibility is missing in libcrypto-compat? This package is installed as a dependency with 1.45c without required 0.9.7 support.
