Hello guys
This screenshot describes my situation.



The procedure stuck in this step.
From that time i can't ping my dreambox 500s (even after i unplugg it and put it online again).

What's my next step should be?

The upgrading made by utp cable.

If you are flashing an .img file like this, it is always a good idea to use dreamUP instead of flash wizard. So try dreamup, it is as quick as flash wizard in most cases if you use serial and LAN connections.

If he posted an image as he did above he has no OS installed on his box any more (maybe part of the Gemini 4.2 he last installed if he is very lucky), so this root.cramfs will not work as there is no OS to do it on - right? So dreamUP is really the only option.

That's exactly my situation jonc.

When i switch on my dm500s it shows me just the green light and nothing on my tv.
So no OS is there...
Ofcourse no ping replies too.

Now, to be honest, i don't really know what i should do right now(except for blaming my self for doing it via utp and not via nullcable).

By Dream Up and null cable is my only option now?
Is there any how to for this procedure?

It's probably because you switched from a max-var image (gemini) to a normal image (PLi-jade). A null modem cable definitively resolves it. Don't know any other option.

i you had a maxvar image on your 500 you MUST flash it via a nullmodemcable!

hemertje , sjaaky , jonc i personally thank you for your replies. It's the best way for a guest to realize that "Hey, these are good people, they help much".
