Hello everyone

I am new here and quite impressed with the stuff you do here with the DM500.

I managed to successfully install Movieplayer streaming with VLC. Thankx to the great wiki!

Now I can play DIVX files like a charm!

But I have many MP4 (MPEG4/AVC) Files here on my computer. Is there a way to stream these files with movieplayer to the DM500 too?
Those MP4 files are not shown in the directories (while .avi are shown)

Thank you for you help.

You could try to rename them to .mpeg or even .avi.
Many answers to your question can be found in our wiki: http://openpli.org/wiki

... or add the file extension to the /var/tuxbox/config/movieplayer.xml file, using what is already there as examples...

Thanks for your answers...

Renaming is not an option... Tryed that before. When I rename the files I can't play them in my Archos-MoviePlayer anymore.
And always renaming back and forth is not quite suiteable, right ;-)

Hmmm, I have to try this XML-Thing once...

Thank you for the tip.

One more question...

Is there also a way to change the audio track of a moviefile if there are multiple audio tracks in it?

This would be even more perfect...

:-)

Hi rambo

I added this line in the pic I attached. I also did one for MKV-Filesand it works too. But HD-Files are downconverted of course and stillstuddering...

I added you my xml-file too, maybe you can use it.
