Hello,
I have three Vu + with OpenPLI 7.1 and 7.2 for one.
All my devices lose internet connection once a day.
I am on a wired network, not on wifi, with a netgear router behind the box.
The network connection is not lost, I can see the movies on my NAS, only the connection to the web is lost.
Need to reboot to reactivate the web connection.
You have an idea ?

What do you mean by "web connection"? How do you determine the connection is lost?

 

Since on the IP level everything still works in the LAN, perhaps you can do some debugging.

 

Can you you ping "openpli.org"? If not, what is the error message? Can you ping 95.154.239.72? If not, what is the error message?

Thank you WanWizard for your intervention.

When I use a plugin that needs a web connection, it doesn't connect anymore. Black screen.
In the Network test:
- Local network: Connected
- IP address: Unconfirmed

After the reboot, everything is OK.

Dynamic IP from your Internet Provider? Lease is lost after one day... Check your modem/router settings. This has nothing to do with OpenPli..
Met één been in het graf..... Helaas

I tested the Vu + with DHCP and with fixed Ip. The problem is still the same.
My home computers never have a disconnection problem. Neither my NAS which is on the internet too.

So I'm looking for any idea that can help me solve this problem.

Means your box doesn't have a valid IP.

 

In case of DHCP it means there was no response from the DHCP server and the current lease has expired. In case of a Fixed IP, this can never happen, as the interface always has an IP.

Sorry for that * that get in there by accident but something terrible het incident the skin selection screen..... skin code that checks if a screen is compatible etc.... I’m considering to revert the latest skin screens and addapt the code....!

seems like there is a problem with DHCP enabled,, i give a static ip to the mac adress of my receiver in the router, then i disable the DHCP in Openpli settings, then i put everything manually, the ip, mask, gateway, dns, and restart network or the box,, works for me
