Hello,
I have a problem with movieplayer.
I use the default for PAL (704x576) as video ratio but the film is cut (left and right edge)...
I believe that the PAL default system is 720x576...
Can I make that change?
Thank you

Edit....

I also have problem in some movies, when I press play (on start) the movie plays for a few seconds and stops.... And rebuffer and again play and again stop.... (loop)... Sometimes this fix if I change the PAL video settings to another dimension ....

Thank you again for your great job

Edit.... (Number 2)
Another problem is that if you have for example 10 avi movies....
Press OK in order to play the 1st... After 30 or 60 seconds stop the movie
Press OK to play the 2nd after 30 to 60 seconds stop the movie...
If you do that for 3-4 times the Dreambox freezes!!! Nothing happens until you unplug it from power!

Thanks again...

In the web interface, button stream, button settings, you can change the resolution (I never tried it before, though).

I believe that there is only predefine fields ( drop down menu) and choose one.... We can not input a new resolution....
Thank you again

For me this is a known issue with many dloads and rips and all you need to do is run them through VLC re-encoding (repair) and they will work fine in most cases ...

You could try to edit the file /var/tuxbox/config/movieplayer.xml (it's created once you've used movieplayer).

Hi Jonc

Can you please tell me how to re-encode (repair) the avi files?
Regards
