Hi,

 

I have tested RC8 on my new Octagon sf8008m now for a few days.

 

I really like the image but sadly blindscan is not working

 

I have installed this plugin this from the feed:

 

enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-blindscan - z-git5015+5c258c3-r0.2

 

And then when I try to start a blindscan I get the message "It seems manufacturer does not support bind scan for this tuner".  Well, blindscan works on OpenATV 6.5 for a fact.

Is this a known issue in OpenPli world ?

Hi, sorry noob question, which file should I overwrite ? I can find a file in folder /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/Blindscan  but that one is called plugin.pyo  (not plugin.py)

.... rename plugin.pyo to plugin.pyo.orig - if things go wrong you can restore the original version.

 

Put plugin.py into /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/Blindscan, when you reboot a new version of plugin.pyo will have been created.

 

Then you can try it out.

Thx, now it is working fine to blindscan, attached the .xml for a scan at 0.8w

Ask the manufacturer or the reseller.

Apart from this we don’t have a proper ipk or even better the source so we might add it within our building-process.

I installed the image again and now I can access the Box but ask me for the password for Root, what is the default password or do I have to change the password with the plugin?

There is no password by default.

You need to telnet to the box login: root
Then type: passwd
And type your own password.

Then give it a try to connect and type in the password that you have defined.

According to these steps, I installed Kodi with the Netflix plugin:

Remenber step by step

0 - install firmware openpli 8 rc

1 - install plugin Kodi

2 - install addon for Netflix and Amazon vod (repository.castagnait and repository.sandmann79.plugins)

3 - opkg install python-pycrypto

4 - opkg install python-pycryptodomex

5 - opkg install kodi-addon-inputstream-adaptive

6 - opkg install nspr nss

7 - the end

 

But..... audio is not working for netflix, video is working good.

It does work when I play another video from a nfs-share in Kodi

 

 

Does somebody have an idea how to fix this?
