Hello everybody and happy new year 2021.
No way to acces to my Vu+ Duo2 by OpenWebIf with the 8.0
Any idea ?
Dit you check the right IPaddress and you didn’t happen to have activated the authentication in the OWIF setup under plugins?
How can i do this ?
The ip Adress is good
No way to install the OWIF extension.

I make (timer)recordings every day, also when the box is in standby, so there must be some weird local issue.

reboot
opkg update
reinstall plugin through green button
it should work now

You should FLASH and not update to 8.0 image.
And post in the right section so not in the Dutch section.
Mijn schotel is een T90 met 10 LNB's. Daarnaast voor de fun nog een draaibaar systeem met een Triax TD 78.
Dreamboxen heb ik niet meer echt actief. Verder heb ik ook nog een een VU+ duo2 met 500Gb harddisk + een VU+ Uno, Zero, Solo 4K, Ultimo 4K, Zero 4K, Uno 4Kse. + ook nog een Xtrend ET7x00. Daarnaast heb ik ook nog diverse andere modellen w.o. een Formuler F4, ET8500, ET7500, Mut@nt 2400HD, Xsarius Fusion HD se en verder nog wel het e.e.a. waarmee op verzoek vanalles wordt getest. Iemand moet het tenslotte doen. 
Los van de eerder genoemde modellen heb ik nog wel een rits aan testsamples als Mut@nt 2400HD, HD60, GB UE4K, GB Trio4K, Maxitec Multibox combo en Twin, Octagon sf8008, sf8008 mini en last but nog least enkele modellen van het Grieks Duitse Edision.
Voor centrale opslag van media gebruik ik een Qnap 219P met tweemaal 2 Tb harddisks + een Synology DS414 met 12 Tb Totale opslag.

Hi guys, first of all I want to wish you a happy and hopefully better new year. I really appreciate your work in the past few years!
Now I have a stupid question regarding the new OpenPli 8.0 Version. I saved all my settings from 7.3v and made a backup on my Harddisk. When I want to update the image to 8.0 (via Online Update) everything works well and the new 8.0 Version started as it should. Unfortunately all my saved setting from the previous version are gone and can't be installed.
Can anyone tell me how to transfers my saved settings and plugins to the new Pli Version? Would be very happy!

I suspect your backup is located on a mount which might not yet be up at the moment the backup usually starts. Check that mount if that actually is a fact. If it’s on an USB stick it might have been not properly recognized due to (for me) unknown reasons.

Ok, i'll try asap, but how i make "opkg update" ?
I did it 2 times and always the same issue.
I have installed only the openwebif (1+git3695) and not the openwebif-wg (1+git3695)
I have noticed that OWIF doesn't appears in the list of the plugins installed.

The message that openssl is missing is cause by e2iplayer checks for 1.0.2 and Openpli8 has 1.1.1. This is just wrong information
Can be fixed by installing libcrypto-compat which will install other versions.

Why not.
But which one ?
It's the only thing who doesn't work.
With the 7.3 i hadn't this error.
I can put again the 7.3 and then flash again the 8.0.
What do you think about it ?

do you get this back?

If you install OpenPli 8.0 on Vu + Uno, you can go back to OpenPli 7.3 if something goes wrong? Does it make sense to upgrade to 8.0? What are the differences?All health, happiness, prosperity!
If you first create a backup you can always go back to a previous version. If not online then you can flash via the USB method.

Possible, development has stopped a while ago, chances are it is no longer compatible.
