hello,
after updating to openpli 8.0 and restoring image I noticed my central display not showing channel info when watching live or recorded channels.
if i click menu ,then it shows info , so display is not broken but i cant find where to set that part. Help appreciated

Install fresh copy and dont use backup setting. I am to using duo2 dont have this kind issue with openpli 8.0

That doesn't look like the standard display skin, but some custom screen, maybe lcd4linux?
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Lcd4linux is active ,yes, you are right,.
how can I fix inside that plugin, i’ve just imported file from previous openpli.
i don’t see anywhere inside setting for lcd4linux central front display.?!

No idea, I've never used lcd4linux.

But I thought lcd4linux is just for lcd display not for front center display?!

Ah, with center display you mean the VFD, the text display? No, that is not lcd4linux related, that needs the correct display skin.

Displayskin is built automatically by the enigma2.
It may have to be activated via the system settings.
LCD4linux everything seems to work, the icons are all there.
Set expert view and then display.

It could also be that the generated display skin is incorrect, of the configuration is oncorrect .
There were a lot of these issues like this which were fixed in 8.0-rc, but appearently not for all boxes...

No, it is included in Enigma, and copied to skin_display.xml during the build process, in https://github.com/O...lay/Makefile.am

You are of course right, so somehow difficult to control this.
In the e2 it is but whether it was actually built is another matter.
Maybe it is still due to the attitudes, otherwise you have to hope for the next image building.

Can you Please post Upload here default display vfd skin for Openpli 8?
Maybe mine is corrupted file so I’ll just replace it with correct default one.

You have a duo2, so I posted the corresponding skin.
You could swap that locally.
Copy & paste.
If it is not the skin that is in your box, then something went wrong with the image building.
