When you have a plitter between a and c and c has the power block and a is not used, only c is used... the lnb does not receive power when A does not deliver power. So A need at least to deliver power continuously... (or you have to add a power inserter) as far I remember vu delivered in the past continuous power and now they don’t do that anymore... and/or A delivers the incorrect power what C needs...

An active tuner always supplies power. That's where your reasoning is wrong. There was a setting on older STB's to (in)activate power output from the tuners, but that's only considered when they're not used. An active tuner ALWAYS supplies power. See my explanation earlier.

When the active tuner is going via the power supply block the lnb does not het power...

Then you don't understand a DC blocking splitter. A (proper) DC blocking splitter allows tuner power to go upstream (the LNB) but not downstream (the tuners). It does allow the power to go from downstream (the tuners, all of them) to the upstream (the LNBs) so if any one of the tuner in the loop is active, the LNB will receive power. If more than one is active, the LNB will receive power from multiple tuners. That's not a problem. What IS a problem is one tuner is "trying" to power another tuner and that's why you need to use DC blocking splitter. It's not completely DC blocking actually, so the name might be confusing.

Did you reuse your settings or start afresh?

I always do a fresh setup when flashing a new image.

Hello,

Today I've found that I seem to have a problem much like this.

It started when I wanted to get my polar mount working.

I have two identical VU+ Duo with 2 tuners, so it's 4 inputs.

One receiver gets 2 cables from a Quad / triple LNB (Kanal Digital, 19,2; 23,5 and 28,5)

The other receiver gets 1 cable from the same LNB.

And I've tested the polar mount on both of the receivers. (Rotating works fine)

When connected to Tuner A and B, I get all signals as expected.

When I connect to tuner C, (the fixed LNB or the Polar mount,) I can get signal and LOCK in the menu "Signal finder".

However scanning gives no chanels found.

When I connect to tuner A or B, it works ok.

Also, I cannot get 4 tuners, just A, B and C. On one of the receivers that is. The second one detects 4 tuners, but will not use the C and D.

Both receivers updated at the end of September.

BR-

Guus

My problem is solved. There was a broken connector. Did a trial and error-search and started replacing parts. Now it works just fine again.
