as i know after inspection Openpli 8.0 were build without openssl support: !!!!!!

 

can developpers or anyone correct this problem please?*

I have no idea what was the subject of your inspection, but above statement, while very emphatic, is definitely not true...

ffmpeg has been stripped in 8.0-release for MIPS boxes, in an attempt to save space.

 

This has been reverted in develop, but we still need to find about 12MB to strip so the image will fit in the 1st generation boxes (uno, solo, duo).

May one know on what basis your 'inspection' is based?
This is probably just a left bug that your plugin has. Which plugin is it?

A try with the image from develop may help you.
Test and feedback would always be welcome.

But please with fewer exclamation marks and more information.

I mean in openpli 8.0 we can't install ffmpeg library.. because the image use openssl 1.1.1version

So impossible to install ffmpeg with this new (old) openssl 1.1.1

ffmpeg is in the feed, there is no reason you should install it from elsewhere, in case of a HiSil box you'll probably brick it when you do.

No believe me.. when installing from feed (e2iplayer deps) all depencies are installed correctly... except except ffmpeg.!! I tried manually .. but thecs1me problem ( error with openssl 1.1.1)

Like I wrote before, the ffmpeg libraries have been stripped in OpenPLi 8 for MIPS boxes in an attemp t to save space.  And that includes your solo2.

 

Check if you still have the problem on the current develop image.

As I suspected ...
It's the e2iplayer.
The openssl is also available in the reduced mipsel version.
The plugin is from a different source and has to be adapted with regard to Openssl.
In fact, the query in this regard simply has to be removed.
Or you set a symlink.
But it is not a problem of the image and also not of the ffmpeg.
It's simply because of this horrible plugin, which is only very unsatisfactorily maintained.

The problem is you don't know who you are using the e2iplayer plugin from.
For most of them, the host is updated completely confused, but the program maintenance is left behind.
You can solve the problem locally ...
ftp e2iplayer / setup / iptvsetupimpl.py

Open this file locally with Linuxeditor
Find Openssl and add the current version.
The same goes for the ffmpeg version.
Then put the version back on the box and restart it once.
Then it should work again.

I have just installed develop image (02/03/2021) .. and all works great and fine.. !!!!

There are probably 2 things that help to avoid the setup query.
On the one hand gnutls was reactivated in ffmpeg and on the other hand it is presumably

However, e2iplayer always remains a surprise bag, because unfortunately it is not really well maintained.

There are several branches.
How are you supposed to believe anything when it's all about publicly visible code work.
By and large there are adding and deleting stream hosters.
No matter who, everyone looks somewhere and somehow how it works. There are enough templates for this on the Internet.
Unfortunately, all streams are only used for a limited time and then have to be updated again.
That works less and less well.
In addition, the program level is simply not maintained.
Except possibly in one case. But that would have to be patched first.
I'm actually always surprised how many people still use the plugin.

Number of peoples are using this plugin due to available free media  still some maintainers trying to fix it & online update also possible . I have found it some easily accessible source to watch fav media selections thats why I use it .its another thing that I have use vpn and obviously to spend lots of time to search for the working link

I'm not sure if he needs a regular update.
If you have created a normal playback on a particular receiver you don't need to change anything.

Check how often something serious is changed in servicemp3  .
