On Vu+Solo after update , still stop working ftp or telnet connections

I just checked on a random available box.

Box was flashed just a few minutes ago. I ran Putty without a password with login 'root'.

Then I changed the password form 'none' to a random new one. See the mini log.

On MACOS i,we got connectionrefused, on windows PUTTY

Can you give the output of the "mount" and "df -h" commands?

 

You get that error if for example the filesystem is readonly, or full.

 

Given the fact the Solo only has 128MB flash, and OpenPLi 8.1 already uses 110+ of that, chances are you've just installed to many plugins, or stored EPG data in flash.

So it's not lack of space, there's still 7.9MB avaialble.

 

Did you restore a backup after you've flashed? It could also be you've backupped stuff you shouldn't, like /etc/pam.d. If you restore that from a previous version, it might have broken authentication.

I  install fresh soft from usb, everythink works fine. Then i chek for updates , in update section i';ve got 104 updates. After instaling them all , i lost ftp connection .

That should only be gstreamer and samba, nothing related to ftp? Or to the passwd error.

Hi

Flashed from 8.0 to 8.1 on my Miraclebox Twin+ and everything seems to be working as well as it did before. However i noticed that the navigation in the EPG is now sluggish, almost two seconds delay from key press to movement on screen. Navigation in all other menus and the channel list is as zippy as always.
Anyone else that has seen this and know a way to fix it?

Hi all ,have exactly the same problem, you can miss items as the epg refresh down the screen so slowly. ok on 8.0  (multiboot on gbtrio4k)

Any luck for fix?

Can you create a short movie from this behavior and offer this via Youtube?

If the both of you refer to 'switching from one program to another program' and / or 'switching from one channel to another channel' within the GMEPG then I can confirm.

With the regular Multi EPG I notice no delay.

 

I'm not a developer but this might be due to older hardware and possibly a lack of free memory. I hope that others might be able to confirm my guess.

 

I have uninstalled some previously installed plugins and tested again. Unfortunately this seems to confirm what I guessed, low memory. Perhaps that an enigma log gives more info regarding this delay in the GMEPG.

Should work, I added support for it back in May, and if I recall correctly it was tested back then...
