Is it relevant to know? Better try to make it clear what exactly you are doing. Am I correct you want play dvd with the enigma2 mediaplayer? I do not know if that is working. I think not. Try to enter Movielist with filelist or PVR button. Then select dvd folder and press OK button. Tell what happen. Also select dvd folder and press play button. Tell what happen. Regards,

open config with blue, enable auto play and play next, sort files default or name that vob´s are in the right order, the vob´s should be play seamless( with small gap), VIDEO_TS will be fixed in next release, I wait that someone fix another issue

It's not that hard after all. Copy DVD "Video TS" with the files VTS_01_1 vob and the Bup files and ifo file. The media player within PLI cannot read Video TS and cannot play the file from the media player. However, PLI can play the vob files within the Video TS folder. However, the subtitles will not be taken into account.  So what I ask why can PLI Video TS not recognize and play what e.g. what VTI can. Since we are working on a new version pli. CAN THIS BE ADJUSTED plaese.

I can't test with a Solo 4K until next month, mine is already in a removal box somewhere...

I have a VU+ Solo4K and I can play a DVD with subtitle and they are displayed.

So there is no issue with DVD and subtitles.

I have toggle them on / off  to be sure that they are displayed or not.

 

Tested with OpenPLi 8.1 develop with default skin.

 

The DVD is played from a Synology NAS (NFS mount).

What is slow, movie selection, I agree, it got kind of slow, reading a directory with plenty of files takes just too long, media player (or file commander) do it in few seconds, movie selection needs 15 sec or more, reason could be .pngs preceding the file name in the file list, @Dima73 pointed the issue once, could be this patch

The most time is spent reading the meta data and calculating the runtime of each media file.

 

This is most visible on USB connected media, as the USB interface of the STB (even the USB3 ones) are slow as sh*t.

Reinstalled PLI. Then Video_TS put on the hard drive. Exact copy of the DVD. Open with the remote control my hard disk go to the DVD file and press OKE , only a black screen and a line at the top of the image (time playback) however nothing happens. Then went back to video_ts and pressed play is now in the directory of Video_ts and see the video.vob files. So each vob bestnd has to play separately without a subtitle. So what's wrong.
