Hi All,

I have encountered a problem and was wondering if someone could tell me the solution (If there is one!)

When I mount /var to my mac for the extra space it no longer allows me to record to my mac.
Is this something I can't do (mount /var in the same location as the recordings?)

If it is possible could someone please help so I can get it sorted.
(I need to mount /var so I can incorporate all the Plicons I would like)

Thanks!!

I'm already fixing this problem now.
But in your case moving /var is maybe not possible: if you move the /var your mac must be running at the same time the DM500 is running or in standby. So, that could be 24/7. Also, PLicons only work if you use an NFS server. CIFS won't work.
Many answers to your question can be found in our wiki: http://openpli.org/wiki

Create 2 folders
1 for Var and one for Recordings
then mount them as two different mountpoints
one using /media/var and the other using /media/hdd

then is should work, you can`t have 2 different mounts pointing to the same mountpoint (I have tried :) )
