multiboot 500s from any storage is not rock solid or reliable - or even possible
for my money - bite the bullet and flash pli and forget multiboot on a 500

I multibooted my 500 for a year or so with no discernible reliability issues, no more than the 500-s has in NA anyways (i.e. 1 days epg for 1 main provider = about 10MB)...

Flashwizard 6.3 makes the multiboot setup simple, but the stumbling block for Windows users is setting up a fully functional NFS server under windows. Many have tried and almost as many seem to fail... Personally I gave up on windows a decade ago, so I have no pointers, sorry...

I wasn't trying to be argumentative, I was just pointing out that it works fine for some of us, in case he wants to experiment...

hemi - no arguments taken at all mate - I am just as keen to hear it does work after all
last time I tried I was using my Dm7000 for the NFS storage - I agree NFS storage on winxp server would just add extra problems.
