Can I install 1.6A using Telnet using a command line ?  If yes, what is the command line ?  I'm a bit of a Newbie to this. The download server feed only shows Ver 1.5z available.

Odd, just Flashed 9.0-release on a Usytm 4K Pro for testing, and that has the correct version:

Attached File  1_0_19_22C5_80D_2_11A0000_0_0_0_20231027163318.jpg   136.07KB   9 downloads

Doesn't Enigma do a package index refresh before presenting the list, or does it cache? Maybe do a software update first, to force a refresh of the package index?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Hi

Just done a software update (1 Picon file only) but CCcam-info is still showing Ver 1.5z.  Is the anywhere I can download the ipk file ?

It is in the feed ;)

Let me check the servers, perhaps we have a caching issue...

All servers have the correct package index in cache.

Do you know how to connect to the commandline of the box? If so, do

less /var/lib/opkg/lists/openpli-3rd-party

and check which version is listed in your local package index.

If that is 1.5z, do

opkg update

and check again.

If it is still 1.5Z, you have a connection issue to our download servers, a local problem on the box that prevents the package index from downloading.

If it is now 1.6A, then Enigma does some internal caching and doesn't update the package index when it should, which should be looked at.

p.s. I prefer not to give you the direct URL at this point, for two reasons.

If this is a bug somewhere, it needs to be found and fixed, instead of worked around. And the package manager really hates it if you install a feed package from outside the feed, which could cause future update problems you don't want.

After following all of the above it still shows ver 1.5z.  I have an Xtrend 8500 running OpenPli 8.3 Ill update this to 9.0 & see if that one has the same issues.

This entire discussion isn't relevant for OpenPLi 8.3, that doesn't even run Python 3. Logical you don't see any update, there isn't any.

The above is only relevant for OpenPLi 9.

Hi

I've successfully re-flashed my Xtrend 8500 to OpenPli 9,0 & it now shows CCcam-Info 1.6A.  Unfortunately when selecting any option in CCcam-Info  the box (Green Screen) crashes, I will try to upload a Crash Log.

Possible, like I said, I don't use CCcam so I can't test it any further.

I can see if I can fix it without being able to test, but otherwise someone else will have to pick it up. Given the fact that there are also no fixes to be found on other forums, it just adds to the fact CCcam is old and dead for most people.

If you can copy this file to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/CCcamInfo, restart Enigma, and try again?

I've added the attachment, it has stopped the box from crashing, but every option now says Error Reading Webpage.

You are sure your CCcam is running, its web interface is enabled, and cccaminfo is configured properly for it?

Yes, CCcam running 100%  All options show Error reading Webpage.  I'll probably remove CCcam-Info & CCcam.

Update

I've removed CCcam from my box, then tried to re-install it.  It won't install, therefore that's probably why I can't get CCcam-Info to work.

Thanks for your help.

I have two problems after flash to 9.0 on my VuDuo2!

First, the Clock on LCD.window does not show up (black screen)

Second, LCD4Linux setting in Webif does not work for me

"Error 404: Not found The requested page doesn't exist", it says in my web browsers (Safari and Brave)

I have reflashed twice and the same result both times

The LCD4Linux plugin works as what I can see!

lcd4linux should work now, affter a software update and a reboot.

I can't confirm any web interface issues, the lcd4linux page works fine here, on the Duo2.

great job  :thumbs-up:  @WanWiard . thank you . lcd4linux works very well now on vu+duo2
