If you want to use crossepg, even with that bug that makes restart takes ages, you need to install curl from telnet for crossepg be able to download.

Something like:

opkg update

opkg install curl

If you prefer Rytec EPG import install xmltv import from plugin feed, it additional install rytec sources needed for download.

Both have pros and cons, I've gone from crossepg to xmltv import and back to crossepg.

With crossepg you can download epg for a bunch of channels really fast (at least in a Duo2!), less wrong/bad epg events, more channels and no need for internet connection...

RESOLVED

Cheers Tony,

the "opkg install curl" resolved my issue.

Its always the little things :)

thanks.

Hi Tony,

thanks for the heads up, I already have crossEPG installed on my vu zero and I think I briefly remember doing this before.

I use crossEPG because I have the SKY.NEW skin installed and thats what the developer use's thus Im trying to replicate his set up.

I'll give this a try tonight.

Cheers buddy.

I would not use cross epg with openpli as you box will take an age to reboot, it is a know issue, use Rytec EPGimport as it works just fine.

I've been using it fine on my vu+ zero without any problems.

Where is Rytec EPG located? cant seem to find it in the plugins download.

thanks,

Hi,

I am trying to install this on a vu+ Solo se usig SSH but it dosnt seem to work.

when I do:

cd /tmp
opkg install enigma2-skin-SKY.NEW-Chababu_V2.5_all.ipk

I get the below but nothing apears in the skin settings after a reboot.

Untitled.png

Can any one help?

I've installed this before on a zero and I didnt really have any initial problems like this.

thanks in advance,

Dave.

Try extract the ipk file and manually ftp all the relevant file and folders to their correct location of your receiver. Make sure you include the skymedium.tff font file as well as all the renderers and converters...

Hi,

thanks for the reply.

You wouldnt be able to tell me what the relivant folders are would you?

Cheers buddy.
The SKY.NEW folder should be /usr/share/enigma2

Skymedium.tff should be /usr/share/fonts

Converters & Renderes should be /usr/lib/enigma2/python/components then either renderes or converters

Then restart enigma

Just a heads up, manually FTPing them worked a treat, cheers :)
