Lijkt erop dat zram juist op boxen waar hij goed van pas kan komen het slechtste resultaat levert. Ik ga hem eruit halen, wordt een optionele module die standaard niet geinstalleerd wprdt.

Voor de meeste boxen, incluis de 8000, is al een nieuwe build online (server loopt nog), een upgrade zou al voldoende moeten zijn om de crash op te lossen.

Was heel eenvoudig gewoon aanzetten en klaar. Had er een beetje mee gespeeld, door de box wat te pesten en 't loopt prima. Dus maar voor alle modellen ingevoerd, 't wordt pas echt gebruikt als het nodig is.

Flash de box opnieuw en installeer nog helemaal niks - geen plugins, geen CAM enzovoorts. Zelfs geen zenderlijst.
Vanuit telnet, geef het commando:
df -h
en post de uitvoer hier.
Je kunt handmatig cfboot installeren vanaf telnet met de volgende commando's, dan kun je ook zien wat er mis gaat:
opkg update
opkg install enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-cfboot
Als dat lukt, kun je de CF kaart gebruiken met dit commando:
/usr/bin/root_to_cf.sh
(dit duurt enkele minuten)
Met dit commando wordt de CF boot geactiveerd en start hij vanaf CF op:
ln -f /boot/bin/initcf /boot/bin/init

en post de uitvoer hier.

overcommit is already enabled.
Just don't use os.system. It's really really really bad because it blocks the GUI thread. And 99% of the silly things that people use os.system for (e.g. renaming files) can be done perfectly well from within Python without spending all that effort on forking a new process.

You can ignore that, there hasn't been a FP upgrade for years for the 7025. You can even remove the plugin. No idea why it'd fail though.

Da's een bug, zou niet nodig moeten zijn... Al die moeite, werkt 't nog niet...om in te loggen met DCC, DBE ea. is een passwd aanmaken via telnet vereist

If DMM wants to distribute closed-source binaries, they should link them STATICALLY. That's the problem here. I don't care what they use to compile their stuff (I was tempted to use another term here), but dynamic linking is not going to work well for binary blobs.

You can create a .bbappend for any script you like, and then overwrite things.
An example of how to "delete" things is in ntfs-3g-ntfsprogs_2013.1.13.bbappend:
RDEPENDS_ntfs-3g := "${@bb.data.getVar('RDEPENDS_ntfs-3g',d,1).replace('util-linux-mount', '')}"
(The ":=" is important, it forces bitbake to evaluate it "now" instead of later, when used, like make does)
