Hey everyone,

i hope i put this in the right topic and even the right website but if not please help me

so here in South Africa we have a set top box called the DSTV Explora 2 so anyway i got the idea of looking at what CPU it has and it has a BCM7356 which is a MIPS style device so i was looking and it also seems to also run on the VU+ Solo2 now obvisouly im not going to just try and flash software like that as of the risk of bricking it , my idea is to run a semi custom OS like a linux based OS but have no idea where to startas being locked with the DSTV OS so to speak is very lame i would like to get maybe Netflix on it?? if this is not the right place please help me find a place that will help
