Add on: When I go into sound settings and switch the "AC3 downmixing" to on the sound is back. And this before I have to press the green "Ok" button. After that I can change settings back to "Off" and getting Surround until next time I switch on the VU+.
The problem is that quite a few of the oldest boxes we support (ET 4000/5000/9000, VU+ Uno/Solo/Duo, XP1000, etc) only have 128MB flash memory.
This is slowly becoming quite tight. I just flashed an XP1000 with 6.1-release (it is the only box with 128MB that I have), and after a flash, configuration and a scan, but before installing anything, I only have 33MB free anymore. Which means that you need to be very careful what you choose to install. This is also the reason an upgrade from 6.1-release to 6.2-release (which updates hunderds of packages) will fail.
We're looking into how we can reduce the size, but don't expect any miracles.
Thanks for your reply. When I read your reply i remembered seeing some note about "Not enough space" on the screen.. Is there a easy way to clean up the installation? Besides going in to the menus and removing skins, plugins aso?
Otherwise 6.1 seems to be "end of the road" for my old VU+ Duo.. Sad, but inevitable i guess..
Does newer versions of VU+ Duo have more internal memory?
