Edision OS Mio 4K+ constant rebooting

27 August 2023 - 20:18

Hello!!

I installed a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-955Q tuner on my Edision OS mio 4k+ an it was working without any issue until now. Now from time to time when I switch on the receiver or after I watch any recorded TV program (Tuner "C") and go back to the satellite channels, I get the message "Tune failed" (Letter "A" is yellow and not green) and I have to reboot the receiver to get it back on track.

I tried that yesterday changing the option of preferred tuner. The preferred tuner was "C", this is the TV tuner, then I changed it to "A" (satellite), and it seems that this change solved the problem. I turn off the receiver several times, change from A tuner to C tuner, etc.. and worked fine until today that the same problem happened. The tuner was switched off for several hours.

When I press OK on the remote control to get the info of the current satellite channel ,the "A" letter appears in yellow, while the "C" letter is green when I select a TV channel. It seems that the receiver get stuck on "C" tuner and is not capable to change back to the "A" tuner.

Any recommendation to solve this issue?

I'm running OpenPli last image.

Problems scanning channels

8 July 2023 - 02:33

Hello

I have Openpli 8.3 installed in the slot 3 of an Edision Os Mio+ 4k. While doing a blind scan on satellite Intelsat 35e at 34.5W, the receiver found all the satellite transponders available on that satellite, then I select all the transponders and after the blind scan is finished I realized that one transponder is missing, the one with the highest frequency. I add the channels of interest to an specific bouquet. I select the bouquet and I can watch the channels of that bouquet. Then, later I try to do another blind scan, but now, just selecting the transponder that was missing before, then the receiver find the channels of that transponder, I add those channels to the same bouquet where the previous channels were added, but then the receiver change the symbol rate of the previous saved channels to the symbol rate of the new found transponder channels and I can not watch the previous saved channels, and a message pop up: "Service not found! (SID not found in PAT).

Does anybody know what is happening?
