Hi,

Does anyone encountered and  has a quick fix for this issue?

I tried various 4K mkv videos and all has strange colors, green or yellow reverted with red as in the  following image

Best regards,

Marc

Never seen it.

What does mediainfo (a commandline tool,  you need to install if first) say about such a file, and when you compare it to one that is ok, any differences?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

No 4K one that plays fine, so you can compare like for like?

Also, I assume these play fine on another device, so it is not an encoding issue in the file itself?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

I have tested one of them, does not play well on my Ubuntu either, has the same issue, thanks for pointing to that, but only 4K movies have this issue, and tested  a few on the solo4k (never tested them on my pc, assumed that are fine if no one complained)

Looks like incorrect encoding. No idea if that can be fixed.

It is quite possible that this is a problem with some TV settings.

I am going to dig deeper. Until a few months ago I didn't had a 4K tv, but now I think i want to see 4K movies as well not just 1080p :) hopefully will be possible. I have checked some image settings in this samsung tv, anyways all are default.

If the same problem occurs when played on a desktop OS (assuming it connected to the same TV), it is unlikely the TV is the problem.

the issue is the same on my notebook screen, alone, not connected to the TV, that's why i think is something with the  movie, but i tried a few, so i suppose is something in the middle between the encoding and the player

I am going to crop a part of the movie and see if i can build a smaller version

What model Samsung?

HDMI UHD Color?

CU7100 series, but I think is not related to the TV as on my computer has the same colors, probably the mkv encoding and/or the player has something to do

till now i downloaded the movies directly on the solo4k, which is very slow, via cable, i suppose that the network card is very cheap, i wonder if there can be errors and alter the data? via my wifi on my notebook i have quite a speed 21MB/s compared with  2MB/s on the box...
