I guess solution (bad one) is to buy nova tv stick and sell volar hd.

I'm waiting for the PLI insert the DVB-T in its firmware.
But I think the team are not interested in the DVB-T
waiting for a long time, so that other images, other teams have already made huge improvements in this regard.
It 'clear that you can not expect anything, that we must always thank the developer, but I think you should let us know if the DVB-T will be implemented or not in your image.

DVB-T IS IMPLEMENTED. It works with many sticks, as I mentioned before. If it doesn't work yet with A850 or any particular stick, this doesn't mean that DVB-T is not implemented. Get yourself a dib0700 or smsusb stick and it will work.

stop crying and complaining drago.net!
as stated before we do work at DVB-T/C USB sticks, but maybe not so fast as you might expect
in the mean time we DO support deveral brands, maybe not yours?

as the PLi images are based on OpenSource you can allways do the developing yourself to get your stick working
if you can't you just have to wait for others...

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...

what about instructions for nova-t stick? Which modules do we need to install?
I hope for detailed instructions.

Can this process be automated? Now we need to make everything manually.

nova, seems to be dib0700, when I read this thread.
If so, this is roughly what you have to do:

opkg update
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dib0070
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dib0090
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dib3000mb
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dib3000mc
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dib7000m
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dib7000p
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dib8000
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dibx000-common
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb-dib0700
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb-dibusb-common
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb-dibusb-mb
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb-dibusb-mc
depmod -a

mkdir -p /lib/firmware
cd /lib/firmware
wget http://www.wi-bw.tfh...dib0700-1.20.fw

echo dvb_usb_dib0700 > /etc/modutils/z_v4l
update-modules

reboot

hello pieterg, I LOVE YOU !!! (lol)

it's working

I'm made exactly what you write and all is OK. I have the DTT on openpli 2,0

Thank you so much

question : why this procedure is not automatic ?
many people wait for it and it would be very well if this install was automatic ??

This is not automatic as someone still has to write a plugin (or ppanel) for it... and then time is involved...

ppanel is not really needed. A small package with correct dependencies + firmware file + modutils rule would be enough. I'll create an ipk for dib0700 and smsusb which seem to work fine and upload them. Then you can just install this package and reboot and it will work. What naming rule should I use for the ipk?

I am not criticizing, I like the PLI. Unfortunately, I can do by yourself (But I'm studying linux), so I have to ask for help. I know that nothing is due, do not expect anything, and my want to be just a polite request.

well every week you are asking the same over and over, that sounds like criticizing to me

By the way, buying a new stick is the easy solution but I think we are here not to do the easy solution.
I found in linux forums that volar black hd has a tda18218 demodulator. To make it work under linux they have done a patch to make it work, recompiling sources and generating the tda18218 module. Since make does not work, there is no make.sh in the sources, anybody knows how to do it with pli?

thank you

Hello,

I compare two DTT sticks and I can say that the Nova T is the best I have (best quality for reception).

I have also the mini stick but it doesn't find all the channels (30 channels with the mini stick and 49 with the Nova T).

Mini stick have some freezes and Nova T don't...

So, if you want tobuy one, you can take the best I have tested...

Have a good day.

Pat

@malakudi

Could you please post your ipk packages so I'm able to put them on the downloadserver... I suggest name them starting with enigma-plugin-drivers...

I did not write every week (I did other similar requests, but not recently), absolutely did not want to criticize anyone, but I know I have to thank for their help and that the availability dates.
I wish only that, those with little practice (like me) can still use the PLi with DVB-T

Nova-t stick is known to be the best for watching dvb-t on dreamboxes and vu+. VolarHD A850 is pain in the arse and i am selling it. :)
