I installed Nova-T and Drivers on Thursday last and did online update. And all worked ok.

The issue now is that once yesterday and once today the whole box froze (had no freezes pre install of Nova-T/online updates).

I had to reboot with telnet.

I set timer to tape eastenders on DTT yesterday.
But when I came home the box had frozen to a screenshot of a program on a SAT channel that was on at the recording start time.

Then this evening I set timer to record film on another DTT channel while watching news on DTT also and the box froze.

Both recordings had 0KB and there is no crash log .

Other recordings have been fine and a few tests have been OK.

Seems to be no issue when viewing on DTT,only apparently when recordings start.

Maybe issue waiting for spin up of disk for DTT recording or is a delay required for something to happen before recording ?


Is there a log file somewhere that might have some info.
Anyone any ideas.

Can someone give me files from OpenPLi feed, needed files for af9015 and dib0700 are kernel modules, firmwares and USB tuner binaries

I will send files to Soossi, so he can do necessary changes for the script.

For smsusb compatible devices, you need:

v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb
v4l-dvb-module-smsusb

and firmware files:

dvb_nova_12mhz_b0.inp
sms1xxx-hcw-55xxx-dvbt-01.fw
sms1xxx-hcw-55xxx-dvbt-02.fw

Some models require sms1xxx* firmware files, other require dvb_nova* files so add them all to /lib/firmware just to be sure.

i found this instructions for iCVS image and af-9015 sticks. Maybe this is useful, i dont know.

1. In etc/opkg you need to change feed.conf file and put this in it (backup old .conf file):

3.Then use telnet:
opkg update
enter
4. Then use this commands:
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb-af9015 v4l-dvb-module-mxl5005s v4l-dvb-module-mc44s803 v4l-dvb-module-mt2060 v4l-dvb-module-qt1010 v4l-dvb-module-tda18271 v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb v4l-dvb-module-af9013 v4l-dvb-module-dvb-pll v4l-dvb-firmware-dvb-usb-af9015

5. Transfer old *.conf file to your box.
6. Transfer these two files into /tmp/ folder:

7. Use telnet again and run these commands
tar -zxf "/tmp/af9015-dm800se-sifteam.tar.gz" -C /

doesn't it work with our own usbtunerhelper?
Really, you should only need the v4l-dvb-modules, and perhaps some firmware files.

Anyway as said before openpli doesnt have module tda18218
This is main reason for AverMedia A850 not working.
Some other images apperantly managed to compile this module.

Support was added in october. Now someone with knowledge needs to build this for openpli.

I think you have to wait to VIX 1.4, support is coming.

The issue some people have where smsusb tuner finds all channels but can't be tuned later is a bug of the driver. When enigma2 asks for tuning details, driver reports tuned frequency as 0 MHz. If you check with a settings editor the saved channels, they all have frequency of 0 MHz. I am working on this to resolve it. I also asked AngelofSky from Blackhole team to give me a hint about the patch needed (his driver doesn't have this issue) but haven't got an answer yet. Quick workaround until it is fixed: get a correct settings list from a friend, edit it with a settings editor (i use dreamset) and set option "Untouched by SDT" and "Locked" on all terrestrial channels. That way, when enigma2 tunes it doesn't update the channel with incorrect frequency of 0 MHz.

In order to resolve this faster I need some hint of the advanced enigma2 developers on where to look for enigma2's tuning functions.

preferably, it should use v5, as that's what e2 expects (though you probably get away with v3, as long as you don't use any recent additions, such as s2)

No occurrence of get_property. I found get_frontend and it seems is incomplete.

You are right, fe_params is never set inside smsdvb.c . So I'll add code to populate it inside set_frontend, right after successfull tuning?

Please test attached ipk files for af9015 with tda18218 chipset. If they work I'll upload source code patches.

edit: these are for vuduo, so please test people with vuduo boxes.

Please also test following ipk file for smsusb devices. I tried to fix the 0 MHz reported frequency.

Only for vuduo, I'll upload source code patches if it is reported working.
